The offense generated a combined 4 three point shots for Mills and Curry.
Nash needs to go.
Shots fired. I'm sure Ime thinks he should have been head coach here.

And he was making a ton of tough contested shots.
Again this franchise is cursed. This happens to us every time.
He had many open 3s and he was guarded by guys 5-6" shorter than him and 20-30 lbs lighter. We gave him a mismatch nearly every time. We were essentially begging for him to get hot. if you let him get a rhythm, he can do this. He's done it plenty of times before and at least a few times to us.

This team is no better than the 12-70 team anymore. Its indisputable.
We are one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Another gift from Harden quitting on us. But you guys think he was justified in his actions.
He was justified in requesting a trade. How he went about it however was not good.
I would want off this team too. The coaching staff is clueless, Kyrie is a clown. I don't blame Harden one bit for getting away from here.
Hello Brooklyn wrote:This team is just so awful defensively.
Like the worst team in the NBA this year.
I don't believe our defensive talent is just bad. Just seems like we have NO IDEA what we are doing.
Some of that can be blamed on having no continuity. But also we just have no coaching on that end.
Nash's switching scheme is an abject failure. He needs to abandon it immediately.
Enough of the constant switching leaving 3 point shooters wide open. It doesn't work.

Has a team, in any sport, ever gone 3-17 and not made a coaching change?

the only person not improving is the coach. This is straight up garbage.... Imke was right! Everyone is right! Everyone and their bloody blind or dead mothers can see Nash is giving nothing to this team for added wins.....

you cant switch AND help. the entire point of switching is so that you dont have to hedge/help on screens and leave corners open. we switch and then send over-reaction help off the corner when a non-scoring threat drives to the hoop.
Prokorov wrote:My thoughts a day later after cooling down....
1) LMA hits open shots, which is nice. But honestly he shouldn't be in the rotation. Before drummond he was out best bet to rebound and vs. backups he is ok. But defensively he cant switch or block/alter shots. And no matter how many mid range shots he hits, we are still likely better off with someone else on the floor. Drummond needs to play. figure out whose with him. Claxton or Blake. and just run with that unless an injury hits
2) I love James Johnson. He has a role on this team. playing 20-25 minutes of point-forward is not that role. We have Dragic now. Kyrie was back. Let johnson be a glue guy. And for christ sake someone get in his ear about not overhelping.
3) I've said this since like his first week playing with us, but Kevin Durant has a MAJOR achilles heel and its protecting the ball when doubled/passing out of double teams. I'm shocked when teams don't just hard double him on every possession. we rarely make teams pay for doing it. He needs to correct it, its bad.
4) We challenge a horrible, obviously correct call here. but then refuse to challenge late, critical, obvious blown calls in the last 30 seconds of other games. its been a problem all year. we need to delegate that to someone with a clue.
5) Why do we CONSTANTLY leave corner shooters open to help/double team a non-scoring threat near the paint? Like honestly let grant williams shoot a floater over curry for 2 before leaving Brown or Tatum wide open.
6) How many times does the pick and roll need to destroy us before we adjust?
We have Kyrie, KD, elite role shooters, an elite rebounder and pieces that fit. there is no excuse to be losing games right now. we are officially a losing team with a losing record. Nash's thoughts on that
"as long as we improve, thats what matters"
no dipshlt, what matters is winning games and making the playoffs.
People can blame Kyrie, or Harden, or injuries but end of the day the coaching has cost us 10-15 games

Our best bet maybe the Raptors pass them for 6th. Then Cavs are in 7th.
I think theres a good shot we beat Cleveland and Kyrie can play in this game.
7th puts us against Philly in the First Round. I would honestly rather play Miami.

Teams ahead of us will slide. the problem is we still need to win games and everyone ahead of us owns the tiebreaker, so thats 1 extra game we need to make up.
Even with Allens injury i dont see how in the world we win 7 more games then the Cavs from this point out.
like if they go 5-12 we would need to go 12-5. i dont think that is realistic

We won't pass Cleveland in the standings.
I mean beat them in the play in and get the 7th seed.
