Close between Kuz and Zinga.

Kuz with two critical blocks at the end and 8 assists. I also like how he deferred a little to get others involved. Solid guy. Good leader. We need to keep him.

Nonetheless, the Unicorn was unguardable. I vote Bazinga

Yeah. Porzingis. It's hard to argue with 25 points on a .762 TS% in just 21 minutes.

Has to be Porzingis, to be sure -- what a debut!

That said, don't sleep on what Ish put down in his minutes! Sato was terrific too. The 3 new guys dominated.

But POTG to KP for sure!

I do worry about the Bobby Portis phenomenon.

Remember how incredibly good he was in his debut with us and how bad he was after that?

In that case, I attribute his success to not yet knowing Scott Brooks' "plays."

Portis is a good player who starts on the NBA Championship Bucks.

I followed Bobby Portis in college & thought he was going to be a star in the NBA. He hasn't been. Overall he really hasn't been "a good player."

That said, he had a very good season last year! If he'd followed it up this year at the same level you could say he'd finally become that "good player" ccj sees in him.

As to Porzingis, he was terrific last night! Which is what this thread is about, right? Give a man the props he's due.

Return to Washington Wizards
