Yea, I wouldn't simply say because Reggie has been tossed into a role above his talent we can't criticize bad decisions or bad plays.
Everybody else stepping up will cure 98% of that. It's the freeriders like Marcus who leave it to Reggie to make something out of nothing. Reggie has scored 300 more points than any other Clipper. Our leading scorer at 16.9 ppg. That's ridiculous. He gets the same noise Jamal used to get--but the players know different. In the absence of PG and KL, Reggie's TS% has plummeted from 58% last year to 49% now because there's not a single guy out there who can get his own shot. 90% of Marcus's and 92% of Luke's 3-pointers are assisted-- Reggie only 60%. It's easy to keep your %ages up when you're being spoon-fed your FGAs.
Sure, criticize him all you want. But the players know he's saving their bacon, taking the tough shot when--and because--nobody else will.
Not true bro. There's a lot of criticism aimed at Morris. Heck there's a lot of criticism thrown at Luke and T Mann at every opportunity there is.
It's hard for someone to make anything happen when Reggie holds on to the ball for the entirety of the shot clock.
It's also true Reggie has taken some big shots and made them but it's not because Morris or Batum passed on them.
