Prime Klay vs Prime Vince

All things considered, who do you want on your team?

Depends on whether they're my best offensive player. If so, I have to take Vince because Klay is just not nearly as good creating offense. But if I already have a better creator, then give me Klay.

If I have to choose without any more roster information, I have to take VC because the quality of your best offensive creator is so important, especially in the playoffs.

Most important - If it's to build a team to win, is Klay, pretty much no argument. Klay instead of Carter on the Nets with Kidd, they are built better and could have taken the Spurs to seven.

Carter never met the Spurs in the playoffs until 2014, so yeah, no wonder Klay gets that hypothetical team better.

1) Vince Carter never played for the Nets when they went to the NBA Finals.

Klay wouldn't do anything for the Nets. They didn't even take enough 3 pointers back then for his greatest strength to matter.

It seems to have been forgotten in public opinion, but Vince was a very very good shooter himself. Like comparable to Klay good.

Overall I'd go with Vince quite easily.

Klay is the Tony Parker of the Golden State Big 3. Vince easily.

vince is better pretty clearly imo

klay is a good but overstated defender with elite shooting, which is pretty cool, but his supernova nights overstate his real volume/efficiency, even as a second/third option is good but not great

he is all time great in a specialized role (3 and D) but that role doesnt have superstar impact or close to it imo unless he was a much better defender than he actually is

Thought this may be closer. Klay is clearly the superior defender. Carter is the better creator and offensive player.

Would probably take Prime Klay over Nets Vince, but people forgot Carter was a top 5 player in the early 00's.
