Re: OT: TV and Movies
I’m kinda in a holding pattern with TV right now just waiting for the shows that are coming soon: Upload, Atlanta, Barry, Moon Knight, and Ozark all coming in the next month or so.

I've been impressed with many of Apple's shows so far, but I'll be honest, The Watch Party was underwhelming and Severance has lost me after three episodes.

Add Suspicion to that list. Decent premise and start but really jumped the shark as it went on.

Are you watching servant? My wife and I have been and were both straddling the line of intrigued/hate watching.ReasonablySober wrote:I've been impressed with many of Apple's shows so far, but I'll be honest, The Watch Party was underwhelming and Severance has lost me after three episodes.

I enjoyed For All Mankind on Apple. Thought Ted Lasso was ok but overrated/overhyped.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

For all mankind is one of the most underrated shows currently on TV. I liked Tedd Lasso but also watched it before the hype so I get your perspective.MickeyDavis wrote:I enjoyed For All Mankind on Apple. Thought Ted Lasso was ok but overrated/overhyped.
I actually enjoyed See even though it's kind of ridiculous. Watched Morning Show with my wife, it kind of sucks.

I usually like to watch new shows right away before I hear too many details. In the case of Lasso I didn't even watch season 1 until several months after it came out. By then there was so much hype it was bound to be a letdown.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Saw The Batman last night. Wasn't my cup of tea. It's not bad but it's not great. The story is very muddled and that it goes for 3 hours is ridiculous. It's better than the campy late 80s/90s Batmans and the Zack Snyder attempts but not close to the Nolan trilogy.
I had high expectations having seen the reviews but was disappointed in the end.

Re: OT: TV and Movies
I was really looking forward to Winning Time but it didn't grab me at all in the 1st episode. The characterizations didn't come off as authentic to me and I hated the Zack Morris talking to the camera sh*t but it's the pilot and I generally don't like pilots. I'll definitely ride the 1st season out to see where it goes. The casting seems pretty great so far tho.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?
Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

I'd give Severance another try. It's only gotten better since EP 3.
The Tourist on HBO Is keeping me entertained. Lots of plot twists...even if they aren't all plausible.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Norm, we need 5 minutes to fill out the show.
Can I spend 2 minutes reading names of states?
Sure, what the hell, knock yourself out.

Re: OT: TV and Movies
It's been so long since Barry aired its second season that I completely forgot that there have already been two seasons of the show.

I have to rewatch at least the last few episodes before S3 premiers next month. Great show.
