there is only one person attempting to derail the thread talking about Ukraine etc out of nowhere - and it aint me
i don't think discussing LeBrons defense in the Player Comparison board - LeBron James 2022 Regular Season is derailment in any form. I keep it on topic. you guys should take notes

With AD without Lebron 2022 Lakers in 16 Games - -3,5 SRS, 36W on pace,
With Lebron without AD 2022 Lakers in 25 Games - -2,0 SRS, 31W on pace
. Called differential as SRS instead of MOV since each stretch has half of the teams.

There is a different between being critical of a player, discussing a player without an agenda and coming off the way you do. No offense to you, but you come off as a troll who does not want to entertain logical discourse when you are presented with facts dismissing what you have said or with logical arguments which shred your whimsical semantics.
I feel the same way about his fans.
Then why are you here LOL?

Is this an ignorant response? Honest question.
I think you've got more than enough pages and posts you can go through to see very regular critiquing and criticism directed toward LeBron and the Lakers. If you fail to see that, can't help you.
That said, to come in here with an outrageously clear agenda and a refusal to be even somewhat objective, refusing to even self-examine when you have just about everyone in here pointing out your clear bias is pretty telling, don't you think?
In any case, if you think you're right and every single poster in here is the one with the issue, so be it, that's your prerogative. The question then becomes, again, why are you here? Wouldn't you be happier posting and discussing with individuals that, in your eyes, are not "fanboys"?

Ha, the troll is asking about if this is a fanboy specific thread. That's rich. Anyhow, as a huge FANBOY of Lebron, I, too, get exasperated at times at some of his defensive rotations. Then, I remember, 19th year in league and is still tasked to do more for his team offensively than basically everyone else in the association. The guy is still a top 5 player at this age. Absolutely remarkable.

Lebron has played over 22 seasons when you include his playoffs games.
He can be forgiven at age 37 for taking it easy on defence when he has to basically carry the entire offensive load every single game.
I don't think Russell Westbrook or Anthony Davis care about that. They see their star player half assing on defense every night and are gonna do the same thing. Laker culture
9x/10 when someone tries to criticize Lebron or excuse his teammates, they inadvertently and unknowingly explain exactly why it's actually it's his teammates fault in the first place.
If not just ONE teammate, but EVERY SINGLE TEAMMATE you have is so lacking in intangibles and a desire to win that that they have to be perpetually handheld and require external motivation in order to not miss the playoffs then guess what? Your teammates are trash.
If as a 37 year old man in his 19th season you need to be the best scorer and defender on your team whilst playing out if position at the 5 in order to not miss the playoffs, then your team is trash. "Culture" my ass. A 28 year old that was very recently an MVP and DPOY candidate should not need a 37 year old man to motivate them to play defence. What a pathetic excuse. "I'm not trying hard because I wasn't told to, so it's actually Lebron's fault", jfc.
You said to me “I will give you scissor seven fine quality animation".
You left then but you put flat mediums which were not good before my scissor seven".
What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt?

Part in bold is so true, it's hilarious.
History of major LeBron criticisms throughout his career (roughly chronologically)
Doesn't have a jumper - true, but eventually addressed
Doesn't play defense - true, but eventually addressed
- makes the Leap -
Doesn't get his teammates involved, so they're "unprepared" when they have to step up - really just "he has to do everything for his team and his teammates can't even take and make open shots"
Can't play with big men - big men on his team have historically been horrible; and the ones who weren't played REALLY well with him (even like, near-retirement Shaq, BIRDMAN, etc., to say nothing of AD)
Limits the role his teammates take - his teammates' value on-ball is WAY less than LeBron's; so to maximize winning, they had to do more off-ball stuff, which - surprise surprise! - made them better players. Love, Bosh, Kyrie (whom he actually gave up ball handling duties for)
Needs to hog the ball - similar to the above; when he started playing off-ball with capable ball handlers, his efficiency actually sky rocketed
Quit on his team - true, the most inexplicable black mark against him in 2011. 2010 still unsure what really happened, but it's probably correct to both say he was not at 100% health, and not full effort (even though he got 18 rebounds against THE CELTICS)
Doesn't have killer instinct - really a criticism of how bad his teams can hold a lead is; also, is actually the clutches player in history
Could only make it out of the East - wins the first time he has a healthy team in the West, reveals that it was all about talent pool and **** all along
I'm sure I'm missing some others. But the takes people have had on LeBron are CRAZY.

Re: LeBron James 2021-22 Regular Season Thread - Part ?
I'm pretty sure there have always been trolls and haters for as long as the NBA has existed, but is LeBron the only player in history who is judged by the same standards throughout his career? It feels like he will be judged as if he's in his prime till the day he retires, and I'm pretty sure when he breaks Kareem's record, there will be people talking about how MJ would've done it faster or referring to this season as the one where he statpadded on a **** team to reach Kareem.
This man put up an immaculate 56/10 at age 37 and a bunch of guys couldn't even do the respectable thing and just avoid the thread if they had nothing positive to say.
Does anyone know if any ATG has ever been through something similar? I really don't remember anyone that was so scrutinized past age 35.

The answer is no. Various reasons, but altogether they result in what we see LeBron being subjected to:
- Social media age
- Post-MJ
- Post-Lakers three-peat with Kobe being super popular at the time
- Etc

I must say this is partly the unprecedented greatness of Late-Stage Lebron but also the disappointment of what should be peak Anthony Davis. He should be impacting the game more than he does.

Even more so than WB's signing, Lakers signing two washed up geezers in Dwight and DJ may have sealed their season. They have no choice but to play LeBron and Melo at C and that is just about the most depressing thing you'll ever see. They have lost so many games this season because of 0 size. And good GOD is LeBron having a dreadful offensive game. He's blowing it tonight.

Aside from that one dunk off of a cut, Lebron has looked like he's been wearing cement shoes all night. Wonder if his knee is hindering him.

He doesn't look THAT bad physically to me. He just couldn't make a shot outside 3 feet in this game. His worst game of the season. And LA's worst loss of the season.

Might have to shut everything down after this. This game’s on LeBron (looked like 2016 Kobe or 2002-2003 Jordan minus the rebounds, assists, and blocks). 37 year old with sore knees playing 45 minutes.
