I don't remember this kind of variant over the last 20 years.

I got a different result. Just looking at the games played they're 11-10, -1 MOV, -1.2 SRS.

I'll check to see if I made an error.

You are posting the statistics in which LeBron and AD share the court.

I believe Feyki is looking at full game results where both AD/LeBron played.

I screwed my log. I'll edit my post. Sorry for the error.

Yup, just look at realgm's, top 100. And I have tons of respect for this board's rankings.

2. Jordan: retired for 3 years
3. Kareem: 22/8/3.
4. Russell: retired 3 years
5. Duncan: 15/10/3.
6. Wilt: 1st season of retirement
7. Magic: retired
8. Shaq: 12/6
9. Hakeem: 10/6
10. Bird: retired 2 years
11. Garnett: 20 mpg defensive specialist
12. Kobe: maybe the worst player in the NBA and irrelevant for 3 years.
13. West: retired 2 years
14. Oscar: retired 2 years
15. Dirk: 18/6
16. Malone: 22/8/4
17. Robinson: 8/8, defensive specialist similar to KG
18. Erving: retired
19. Mikan: retired
20. Moses: 10mpg

Is this supposed to be a serious list? My goodness. That's not a proper list. That looks like a list personally put together by the "tall, awkward, gawky but trying to be hipster lugs of the world united" club... can't find another explanation for why Larry and Kobe are so low with so many centers above them. I hope RealGM isn't advertising it anywhere as theirs.

Jordan at #2? :o
KG over Kobe? :o
Dear ole Timmy Duncan all the way up at #5 and over Kobe and Larry? :o :-? Hah double hah!!

Thanks but no thanks. I've made my way around these parts before and the Timmy-lovers club demands that you bow down to Timmy before being taken seriously, which is a silly requirement. I'd bet That70sShow, aka Timmy-lover In Chief, is one of those in charge of the list. Ably aided by his trusty Dutch sidekick and other Timmy-lovers/Kobe-haters. I always known they wanted to put Duncan over Kobe in this list, but I'm still shocked that they've now managed to make the difference 7 places... but the biggest shocker is Lebron over Mike, lol. I guess they really don't like the two guys who could do things that they just can't, so have chosen to elevate players who did things that they feel they could have done too.

I recommend reading the hard work and dedication people have invested into the project rather than complaining to nobody who cares--thats what Twitter is for.

You mean the sort of hard work and dedication that allowed them to delude themselves into thinking that Tim Duncan was quicker and an equal or better athlete than Dikembe Mutombo? No lies, that's actually what one of the prime peeps on this section of the forum is trying to imply on a thread about rim-protectors.

Rank these players in order of Rim Protection ability.

This is just one example of how the "legend of Dear Ole Timmy" has been created here, little by little, by adding up all these fibs. Is it no wonder than they wrongly rate Timmy so highly on this list? I mean, in his/her mind, Timmy has become a fire-breathing, rim-protecting dragon who was an equal/better athlete to Dikembe, and was as dominant as Shaq in the paint, and had MJ/Kobe's skills and footwork, and who had no help instead of the best squads in the league... and who is called the Big Fundamental even though he couldn't master the basic fundamental skill of shooting free-throws... so what can I possibly say to change their minds?

All the while, they've been trying to paint Duncan's better as an inefficient chucker and "equal to or below" guys like KG and D Wade, thus getting rid of the competition by putting 7 spaces between Timmy and Kobe? Lol.

When I point out how ludicrous and wrong this is, I get labelled a troll who should be ignored. Yeah, no thanks again.

Absolutely remarkable.

The only old man I could think of who was asked to bear that much responsibility for his team was Karl Malone. All the other great old men in basketball history, and I'm not diminishing their accomplishments had had their role significantly downgraded by their coaches.

2022 Lebron still thinks he is 2012 Lebron.

He wants to tell the organization who he wants to play with, who the coach is, and how the offense will be.

Older players didn't do that. They weren't telling the coach how to run the team. The modern player, which Lebron is the originator, feel they should be able to do whatever they want to do, until the point it doesn't work out. Then they want to blame everyone else and not take any responsibility/accountability for the creation of the situation they created.

Lebron has not adjusted his game to his changing physical limitations. Lebron wants teams to enable his personal goals and aspirations i.e. getting the scoring title.

An example would be putting Lebron at center. That gives Lebron a great matchup on offense where he can have bigger body try to guard him out to the 3pt line.

But that brings consequences, primarily it makes the defense utter crap. Lebron has never been a rim protector or deterrent and he isn't starting now.

What this has done has made the Lakers crap on offense because Lebron is taking over 21 shots a game. For context, that is the 3rd most in his career. He is taking 7.9 3PA, which is the highest of his career.

This is how the Lakers are enabling him to go after the scoring title. It is not like Lebron doing all this shooting is helping the Lakers offense. They are ranked 24th in ORTG.

This is where you have to start questioning Lebron's BBIQ...doesn't he see that the offense is terrible and he should take less shots? Why haven't the Lakers tried to make any adjustments on offense, is there any sort of offensive identity?

Imo, it seems that the Lebron-way is in full effect, which he has been riding with for 19 years...why change now.

lebron was played at center because lakers had no bigs

believe me a 37 year old forward doesnt want to play center full time, if anythingh he would have more Energy to score otherwise

this just proves my point earlier in the thread, a 37 year old big forward is being asked to play center in defense cause the team has no bigs while simultaneously being the team best offensive player and you think somehow thst speaks ill of him?

is incredibly impressive if anythingh, he is being asked to be 2009 lebron in both ends for this team to work.( and obviously that is impossible with 20 years of basketball in his legs)

most all time greats would be retired (jordan) or in a specialized/diminished role (duncan, wilt) if not outright washed (kobe) the only all time great comparable at this age would be kareem

also, peak Stephen curry in a mvp candidate year (2021) had a similar below average team offense, is common for great seasons to have weak offense if the supporting cast doesnt help

List of 37+ year old players who played 45+ minutes and 95+ possessions at a 100+ pace:
1. Elvin Hayes, 38yrs148days, 53.0/115.5/104.7
2. LeBron James, 37yrs69days, 45.3/98.5/104.4

Note: Hayes did it in the last home game of his career.

They had Dwight Howard, Deandre Jordan, Andre Drummond, Javale McGee who all would be acceptable.

But no...we can't have them...that is old school 80's and 90's centers...the hell are you talking about having a player that can't shoot 3's in the lineup next to Lebron. You must be high to even think that.

This is the Lebron-way, have bigs that can stretch the floor, but those are premium players. There are not a lot of even avg to below avg bigs that can shoot and not be defensive liabilty. You have to pay to have a big that can shoot and play defense. Do the Lakers have anyone like that on the roster?

Oh they do...it is Anthony Davis...aka AD...aka Day to Davis...aka Street Clothes...aka never seen an ankle injury he wouldn't attempt...aka has only played more than 70 games in a season twice in a 10 year career.

They do have a big man that can play center. In fact, you may not know this, but Anthony Davis is a Klutch Sports client. Something else you may not know but Lebron's childhood friend is the owner of Klutch Sports. So they do have an intimate knowledge of the players they represent. Klutch Sports went out of their way to get Anthony Davis traded to the Lakers....despite his evident injury history.

There is something called risk assessment, where you analyze potential moves and scenarios. One of the risk assessments that should have been done is the probability of Day to Davis being injured and how much of the load Lebron would have to shoulder if that scenario would come to pass.

Ahhhh what are you talking about....Street Clothes ain't gonna get hurt...he's playing with Lebron now. Lebron is a tremendous leader and motivator, look at his track record. AD would obviously come to LA and under Lebron's training regimen and leadership, takeover the primary load during the season. This would allow Lebron to manage his minutes during the RS and then be fresh for multiple playoff runs. What could go wrong?

Oh wait...you say that Day to Davis only played 36 games in the 2021 season and has only played 37 games in 2022? Unbelievable...who could have seen this coming. But forget that...we don't like to bring up past decisions that don't work out in Lebron's favor....that's just straight haterade.

What we can do is get both Lebron and AD help during the season...then they both can manage their minutes and both be fresh for a strong playoff run. Who is the biggest name the Lakers can acquire? Who? Russell Westbrook you say? He's available...and he's an LA guy? Sheeeeyyyyiiiittt why didn't you say so, this a no-brainer. We gotta get Russell over here.

What is that? Who said something...I'm serious who is that talking? What did you say? Russell Westbrook can't shoot? But he was MVP five years ago, shut your mouth. Russell Westbrook doesn't know how to pass to shooters? But what about him and KD and all those playoff runs they made in OKC? Yeah...yeah...you ain't got nothing for that! KD won an MVP next to Westbrook, speak on that!

Check it bruh...we got Lebron...we got Street Clothes...we got Russell...that is all you need for the RS. You don't need role players, or guys that do the dirty work. Caruso? Let him go and his funny ass headband. Dwight? Not needed, we can pick up any big we need off the street...Javale is always available. Kuzma? That fool tries to shoot too much, he needs to know his place...is in Washington.

Now we all know that we can go to the stats because who really cares about winning...you can't control winning...you can only control your own stats.

But something interesting to see since 2018-19 in the 4th quarter with 10 seconds left (including playoffs) the players with the worst percentage (starting with the worst):
- Kemba Walker 0-14 (0.000)
- Lebron James 2-22 (0.091)
- Andrew Wiggins 1-11 (0.091)
- Dwyane Wade 1-10 (0.10)

Perhaps Lebron should recognize that he is not the same Lebron James and perhaps his fanboys should as well instead of making excuses about how old he is. We know he's old...do you......

Blame the coach
Blame the front office
Blame your teammates

The Lebron-way.....

lebron was played at center because lakers had no bigs

believe me a 37 year old forward doesnt want to play center full time, if anythingh he would have more Energy to score otherwise

this just proves my point earlier in the thread, a 37 year old big forward is being asked to play center in defense cause the team has no bigs while simultaneously being the team best offensive player and you think somehow thst speaks ill of him?

is incredibly impressive if anythingh, he is being asked to be 2009 lebron in both ends for this team to work.( and obviously that is impossible with 20 years of basketball in his legs)

most all time greats would be retired (jordan) or in a specialized/diminished role (duncan, wilt) if not outright washed (kobe) the only all time great comparable at this age would be kareem

also, peak Stephen curry in a mvp candidate year (2021) had a similar below average team offense, is common for great seasons to have weak offense if the supporting cast doesnt help

They had Dwight Howard, Deandre Jordan, Andre Drummond, Javale McGee who all would be acceptable.

yes, lebron has never played without 3 point sniper centers like varejao, haslem, birdman, tristan Thompson or even Mggee and howard in 2020 title lmao

you are also simultaneously criticizing lebron for being washed and holding him to peak lebron standards

either he is a past it old player (of which he probably would be the best past it old player ever sans maybe kareem)

or he is still a mega star at 37 (unprecedented except for kareem) if you want to criticize him like one

You really should though. Otherwise it doesn't make sense to criticize it.

Come on, now! Does he sound like someone who does his homework? No, too hard.

Varejao - Illgauskas
Haslem/Birdman - Bosh
Thompson - Love

Lebron-land is where big men go to become 3pt shooters.

I am holding Lebron to the standard of the Lebron-way.

When has Lebron ever adjusted his game for the good of any team. When has Lebron ever minimized himself to accommodate any other players.

Why is 37 year old Lebron still shooting like he is Jordan or Kobe.

I'm not like the other stans. I don't like Lebron's way of doing things...they always end up as trash. That is the standard I hold Lebron to, how he wrecks franchises.

I know what the response is..."Lebron brought them championships"...he also left them in a worse situations.

But look at Cleveland and Miami now.

Would you rather have Westbrook/Lebron/AD or Garland/Mobley/Allen/Sexton or Adebayo/Herro/Robinson.

I would rather cheer for young guys who want to be there, than a mercenary that you can't depend on. That is standard I hold Lebron to.....
