they won 20 championships think about it. a crappy title mostly won with mercenaries hardly counts if you win every other year.
hes not even a top 10 laker so its okay to treat him as a outsider and hate him. he holds little value to lakers franchise history.
a title is a title but its way different if you win as wolve or king compared to lakers. if your a laker, your expected to be a dynasty team. anything below is a failure. lebron is already is in 4th yr and won only 1 lakers would have easily won without him.

Not sure what he said that is wrong. The heat absolutely could have won titles with Wade, Bosh and another max guy. Not to discount that Lebron did a ton for them but typically when LeBron leaves a team he mortgages your future and it takes a long time to come back from it after he leaves. Whether that is worth one or two titles is debatable. As a Celtics fan I wouldn't let one player nuke my teams future for 4-5 years for a single title for sure.

So where was LeBron going to be all those seasons? You assuming LeBron would just stay in Cleveland? Why wouldn't he also join a superior cast, and LeBron is the best and most durable of those three players. Come on, lol.

What's a superior cast? There were no players available in 2010 remotely as talented as Wade or Bosh. If Lebron went to New York or Chicago that team gets clowned by Miami and probably Boston for a few years.

Laker fans are kind of spoiled for talent, and think they deserve to have prime lebron/kobe/shaq playing for them at all times and competing for nba championships at all times. Hell, maybe they're not wrong.

I was a Laker fan for almost 25 yrs when that came to an abrupt end in 2018. I watched the Lakers when 5 titles in real time. I was around and conscious when Magic, Kareem, and Worthy were coming off of their run in the 80s. I remember how iconic that team was. That's 10 nba titles. Ireally and truly do not care about no mickey mouse ring lol.

I don't care about a 6, 7, or even 10 year stretch of being uncompetitive while we organically build up the next iconic Laker era that might actually last 5-10 years instead of one manufactured, flash in the pan mickey mouse title run. This idea that life was so miserable for a Laker fan because we had some bad years post Kobe's injury is just not true. This happened post Magic as well. The Lakers were bottom feeders from 92-96. Then they got swept out of the playoffs 3 straight years from 97-99. Shaq was being labeled a career loser while Kobe was out here launching airballs in the playoffs. It wasn't pretty. But then, everything came together and we had over an entire decade of being relevant, competitive, and successful.

Beyond that the Lakers organization just isn't the same under Jim amd Jeannie. They allowed the Laker brand and name to be cheapened first with the whole Lavar/Lonzo clownshow that happened and then selling out the franchise to Lebron and Klutch right after. Not to mention the disgraceful campaign to hijack AD from a small market team like NO. Even our "championship" is a joke.

For me the Lakers as a legendary franchise died along with Jerry Buss and Kobe Bryant. Lebron fans can have it.

I think reasonable fans who aren’t that into Lebron see that the relationship is purely business. It’s not as genuine as stereotypical franchise cornerstones. Lebron only came bc he wants to live in LA- has a entertainment empire to build.

He then once again manufactured with the help of klutch, who has infected the storied lakers franchise, another super team to stack the deck while trading away the youth they have spent time bonding and developing.

However since this super team failed, there is no genuine relationship to give Lebron slack. They also know he could leave anytime for a better situation or to play with his son.

1/2 the Laker fans on this site are Kobe fans moreso Laker fans, and ALL Laker fans are Kobe fans, deservedly so, Kobe is a Laker legend.

Kobe fans and Lebron fans have it out for each other. It's hard to Kobe/Laker fans to welcome Lebron. When things are good he's alright, when **** hits the fan which it has during this season, they will turn on him. Doesn't mean Lebron has been bad by any stretch, he's been a top 5 player this season.

Lakers are a legendary franchise. If Shaq wasn't immune to criticism who won them 3 championships(where Kobe was the second fiddle), with 2 MVP, and 3 FMVP then Lebron certainly isn't immune to criticism either.

When and where did Shaq get his 2nd MVP?

Why do we have to like Lebron, fact of the matter is we don’t? He hasn’t been great with the lakers. His only sole championship in LA came in a shortened season that ended up in the bubble, the other years have resulted in injury prone, subpar record seasons that have ended in disappointment.

Lebron has not lived up to expectations in LA. Out of the 4 years he has been on the lakers, he has had only 2 years above .500 record with last year resulting to them playing in the play-in just to make the playoffs, looks like this year will be another play-in year or they could missed the playoffs all together if not careful.

There has been no continuity with the rosters, all he does is bring his friends on board or sign Klutch agency players to come stink up the joint. Don’t get me started on him brining Westbrook on board, then turn around wanting to trade him by the trade deadline.

Bottom line is we are all sick of his b**lls**t, we don’t have to like him cos you do OP

I think the feeling with lebron is that it's temporary. He came in with this whole "lakerland, we'll do it" approach and I think there's no sense of sincerity. As someone above said, it's kind of artificial and staged, and he doesn't have roots anywhere, so it's hard to say exactly where his most loyal fanbase is. He brought Cleveland a championship, but at the same time he left them twice, and I don't think those feelings are as strong anymore. For example, DeRozan on the Bulls feels natural, Jimmy Butler on the Heat feels natural. They came, built trust and let their relationship with the city and the fans grow. Lebron is like instant - he comes in with all the love and quotes from day one, and three years later he's packing up again. It feels like businnes with him than anyone else in the league. He's all about that Hollywood.
