Can't be talked enough. Ben having Marks, Patty and KD literally hyping him up is big for him. Watching him actually smiling and being hyped during the game made me actually be happy for him. Going through mental stuff ain't no joke.

Patty is a good person, period.

Don't mean to stir the pot.......but Nash did a great job in last nights game. It was a superb performance on both sides of the floor for the entire 48 minutes.

I was concerned when Claxton got subbed in for Drummond but Nic had a great game.

All in all every member of our team played their hearts out. We just wanted it more. Our mid range game is our bread and butter, it was like death by a thousand cuts for the Sixers.

This is the Harden playstyle that works so well in the regular season when refs are liberal with their foul calls. But he always regresses from his regular season form in the playoffs, because he plays for contact first, not for scoring.

the nets know his tricks.

Yup…it’s just up to the refs to not be fooled when he foul baits and initiates contact.

Did you see when Harden drew a foul on KD on a drive to the basket? Dude literally changed the path of his drive and fell into KD so he could draw contact. I’ve always hated how much he plays for the foul as opposed to just simply looking to score.

This may have been Nash's best coaching performance because he didn't get in the way of what the team was doing. KD and Kyrie led the charge but we generated some great open looks for Seth and Patty, and Bruce, Nic, AD, and JJ provided the dirty work. Nash let Embiid gas himself in the 1st Q and Harden, Maxey etc were non factors.

That was an offensive foul. The refs were terrible.

3pt_chucker wrote:We knew Bruce Brown didn't like Harden and was glad he's gone and this game really showed that. Truthfully he's been excellent post trade/ASB and he continued that tonight. He basically eliminated Maxey and with Harden gone, he has full licence to push the pace on any rebound or turnover. That's truly where he excels because he is a good ball handler and can finish at the rim or make a good pass in transition. Easy offense.

What's crazy to me is that we've had Brown, Griffin and even MILLS pretty openly express their dislike of Harden... He must have REALLY been hated for high character role guys to that openly dislike him.

One of our best wins of the season and much needed. The silver lining is that we have yet to play our best ball hopefully this is a start of that.

I said this when the trade went down...

I dont know how good or bad Ben will be, but he is in the perfect spot to be insulated from outside noise. No 2 guys other then maybe Lebron deal with more media scrutiny, twisting of words, fake news, and hit pieces then Kyrie and KD. Those 2 are better suited to help Ben navigate the bad media and fan scrutiny around him then anyone in the league.

On top of that you have not just Marks/Mills as fellow Aussie's, but player-first star friendly culture.

Then you throw in all-world vet teammates like Blake and James Johnson and the dude is setup to feel support.

KD/Kyrie drew the line in the sand in post game... kyrie specifically "if you come at ben, your coming at all of us" and KD/kyrie just showed what happens when you come at their guy

Don't be surprised to see Philly recommend he opt out so they can negotiate a max deal only for Philly to tell him go and kick rocks. Then he will have to settle for minimum somewhere else. It can happen! Philly got its karma in the form of Simmon's teammates sticking up for him and making it personal. They didn't do this for the playoffs, they did it for Simmons. Nets can go an extra gear when they have to but this was so Simmons can get his last laugh at the fan base who turned on him and slandered him as well as the organization; Philly and its fans really had the nerve to play victim but the game last night spoke for itself and Harden looked like a scared chicken **** out there. Go sulk and quit you fat lard.

Embiid is an elite player... but He will struggle to win as long as he is in Philly.

This is why you don't tank. it creates a culture of quitting. a culture of giving up anytime the situation isn't strongly stacked in your favor. It creates a sense of entitlement. You could see it time and time again with Embiid. Hard worker, good dude overall, elite talent. But its hard to get that losing tanking stench off.

He needs a new team and a great coach.

I was really surprised how well nic played Embiid... at the same time, props to drummond, im sure 10 minutes of trying to bully drummond took alot out of embiid. we saw mostly jumpers after that
