What’s fantastic about this stat is Deuce has put up almost no other numbers so it speaks loudly to critical importance of having a defender who slows down the opponent’s point of attack. That a guy producing very little statistically during that stretch to have that kind of impact is a pretty big deal, because his other numbers will come around with more reps. He can shoot and distribute even if that has not been his primary contribution presently

All of a sudden he looked much more fluid and mobile, after looking stiff and robotic for the first 2.5 years.

His efficiency, while still subpar (96 TS+ since the All-Star break), has improved as well.

Much easier to envision him becoming a star player down the line with this fluidity as an athlete. Efficiency does need to follow, but his movement on the court looks much better.

Yeah. I was hopeful that we'd start to see something like this next fall, but I thought that even that may be overly optimistic. Seeing it happen this season has been an absolutely delightful development.

RJ will score close to 30 or. More. Unless they are moving back to **** clueless nonsense of Randle being the guy again where he bricks shot after shot and throws horrendous passes and stalls the offense trying to get his.

Mavs Grizz know how to play defense and their coach emphasizes it.

They'll put guards on Randle to bait him, send doubles and triple teams and all you need is whoever Randle is guarding to score a couple and Randle will have to get "even", so yeah, I think Randle will stall the offense, the D will get in his head, he'll have an off night and he'll hog the ball which will impact RJ and of course the rest of the team.

Burks can't guard Ja, but Thibs will try it. The NBA will take care of the rest by fouling out McBride by halftime or some similar BS. Look for Mitch to rung up a lot as well. Nothing against these guys, it's how the NBA will tilt the field to the home team that's a winning team, like they usually do.

The Mav's bench sucks balls. The Grizz bench is probably better than this group of Knick starters.

But we beat the Mavs TEAM. A time that had won 5 straight and something like 16 out of the last 20 at home....

If Julius & RJ are both on we are something to be reckoned with...provided the defense holds up. There are no allstars on that team outside of JA. Sure they are confident cocky and all that, but F@ck them they are beatable.

Luka was hobbling around with a bad back and Bullocks couldn't hit a thing for a night.

The Mavs are the latest group of new do*chebags and I wish the Knicks would beat them, but Knicks lack the talent to beat anyone unless they are playing basically 100% to their ability. Though against the Mavs it was 95%.

I wanted to bring this up earlier but forgot.

It's one of the hugest disappointments of the season. If you count the offseason as part of the season, then the terrible job done there is right with it. But in season, Thibs coaching has been awful, and not just for the usual stuff where people are mad he doesn't play the youth, is extremely rigid with rotations or changing. I mean, that's all true.

But the thing that bothers me about Thibs this year is the lack of accountability and how he lets a good number of players just slide along doing dumb or lazy sh*t on offense and defense. I thought at the least, for whatever faults Thibs has, he's hold people to task, especially in games. But other than the quick hook for young guys, Thibs lets guys laze around on defense at times and lets them waste offensive possessions with egregiously dumb sh*t and yet no timeout, no one gets benched...nothing.

Why I care less if Thibs gets fired now. If he doesn't do enough of that, and he's always going to favor crappy vets, what's the point?

Yeah. We're going to get wrecked. My boy Ziaire is going to go off for 6 or 7 pts and Burks's 30 won't be enough to keep us in it.

Makes sense. He's been much more elusive. As I've said elsewhere, he spends the first parts of seasons working on specific skills and it sandbags his efficiency stats. Once he's comfortable/unlocked in his new skills his numbers and efficiency improve. You can't look at young players as WYSIWYG if they're putting in the work. That's how you miss out on development like DeRozan... or Kobe.

Seems like he will get a technique down even if its in slow motion, then keeps repeating and repeating, and gradually going faster and faster and then it just hits. Kinda same with his footwork.

I don't know if I've seen a player develop as methodically and deliberately as he has. If everything else from the season goes down the toilet, his emergence towards a path to stardom would trump anything else that could have happened.
