Should the Bulls change their name?
I know that they have a lauded history, and I love the nostalgia of the 1990s Bulls, but Bulls are incredibly dangerous animals and can be scary to little kids. Just a thought, because I know the Bullets changed their name.

Should New York change its name, since York still exists?

Hornets, Wolves and Grizzlies are also pretty scary to little kids. Thunder can be scary as well.

Re: Should the Bulls change their name?
Wow!
I'm afraid just discussing this ... there are obviously too many "scary sounding names" ... probably too many names altogether ... which may be why people wind up picking scary ones.
The CFL really had it pegged back in the day.
They had friendly team names like Argonauts (which are sailors) ... Alouettes (which are french songbirds) ... Stampeders (which are cowboys who go fast) ... and Eskimos (who rub noses). See not so scary.
Okay, they also had Lions (which are scary) ... Tiger Cats (which sound a little lless scary) ... and Blue Bombers (which sound like depressed terrorists - which to me are decided less scary than inspired motivated terrorists).
Still, most compelling .... so as to not have too many team names and wander into to more "scary territory" ... the CFL had TWO teams named the Roughriders (which sound sort of kinky). That's right a nine team league with TWO teams named exactly the same - definitely not scary.
So, in honour of stupidity everywhere ... I humbly suggest ... the obvious solution to reduce fear ... ladies and gentlemen presenting
