Reggie Jackson needs to be considered for comeback player of the year. He's carried the scoring load for the Clips with their stars out and been pretty good at it. He makes big shots and the team plays well with him on the floor. Great get for LA.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

I'm sitting here watching Pacers/Wizards and thinking about how much Sato would have helped this team. He is a two way high IQ Swiss army knife. Would have shined in the Shaun Livingston role here. Oh well. He must have thought he'd get more playing time in DC...or he just likes it there.

This Philly/Brooklyn game is getting me hyped up for the playoffs. So chippy.

And yet...Harden lays an egg against his former team.

In my quest to visit and document all the NBA arenas, I'll be attending Wizards/Lakers tonight heh... Wish me luck.

The game wasn't exactly compelling; I spent most of it catching up with my friend. The Lakers looked awful, but it turns out they have this LeBron guy. He took over and dropped 50. Crowd kept chanting MVP, making me wonder if they don't realize they're fighting just to make the play-in games, or if they haven't realized you don't get MVP if your team misses the playoffs.

Amen!

I'd actually like that team plus Papa.

Literally anyone other than this pair. I am so **** sick of them that I only listen to national broadcasts now. Fitz I can live with. He's a play by play guy and we know he's a mouthpiece. But holy **** Kelenna has been awful. Boring with 0 insight and a completely flaccid personality. He is basically a **** Fitz that can't do play by play so he's reverted to color commentary - which he objectively sucks at. I thought a former player would bring good perspective or at least point out things we don't notice. Instead I'm getting better insight from Kenny **** Smith. And most of his analysis is 'ok freeze it here...so he should have been guarding him. bada bing bada boom the ball goes in the room!'

Every part of them fumbling over each other has been a disaster. My favorite is when they try to incorporate technology and either Kelenna **** it up because he has the tech acumen of my 80 year old mother or our broadcast team forgets they have a job to do. Great example is whenever they run back a play for Kelenna to try and draw on the screen - anybody notice they stopped doing that the past 30 games? Because every time he **** it up. One time he literally said 'well that didn't work but you see what I'm saying.' No Kelenna, I don't see what you're saying because you aren't making a point. How are you a former pro but the only play you know is a split screen?

Barnett was great because he was critical when he needed to be and would have his 1-2 breakdowns a year where he just had enough and would say we sucked/something was unacceptable. Now we have two idiots saying 'well if TEAM is shooting like this, start the busses!'

Kelenna also doesn't know what his lane is. He does every **** interview and they're promoted to death, but he doesn't have a single story to share in-game? The most insight we've gotten is that player X is a hard worker or that Klay is a fun guy. Or the nugget that he's good friends with Danilo and will 'get him drunk before the game' (lmao lmao GOOD ONE).

I'm sorry but this is what we need to be talking about. Get them both out or demote Kelenna to interview duty. Make him a sideline reporter or in-studio guy. Because he is horrendous.

Think you need to be high IQ bball to be a great colour commentator. Igoudala/Bogut?

"He shot that from <insert stupid local reference here>" has now become more annoying than Jackson's "Momma, there goes that man!"

Spew out thousands of hours of TV, hit on a line someone finds amusing then grind it into the dust for the rest of your career.

I always find it so weird that Fitz gets invited to do the Olympics. Like...why? Did literally everybody else say no?

With League Pass and an unhealthy obsession with NBA basketball I can honestly say I've heard every local team at least a handful fo times. If the Warriors aren't the worst, they are definitely near the bottom. It's incredible to me that Fitz has stuck around so long, but I guess he's entrenched at the network maybe he's hard to get rid of. I don't think it's controversial to think that the average Dubs fan would welcome a change.

I do that too to avoid Fitz. I prefer the radio feed if I can but with the delay that can be fiddly at best.

I think the Rockets announcers were the worst I have heard.

Fitz is bad, but I do get his value. And if you pair him with the right partner, it can work. Barnett was perfect for him because he pushed back on all of the idiotic company line stuff. Kelenna just jumps right in and agrees. Hell, he defers to Bob most of the time. A former pro basketball player deferring to Bob Fitzgerald.

Bob is basically our play by play and color commentator right now. Kelenna is occasional comic relief. Unfortunately, he isn't funny as I think he's trying too hard. Who remembers the legendary MAX VERSTAPEN rant while multiple plays were happening?

I just can't deal with color commentators who add absolutely nothing. Making matters worse I think he's trying to be Mark Jackson. 'YOU JUST. CANT. GUARD. HIM.' 'He said I'm Kevon Looney and YOU CANT STOP ME!' God it's like the walmart version of an already bad announcer.

What did Kelenna do to hurt you so badly, Andy? You can tell us -- we're your friends.

I'd take Buke over Fitz... Buke's a bit vanilla for sure, but there's nothing worse than a suck-ass and Fitz is that most of the time.

I'll admit though, Fitz does critique the team more than he used to. But its almost always rookies and young players. He'll excuse the vets mistakes though.. and he also is really bad at identifying mistakes sometimes.

That article was a bit too emotional for me but yeah, Barnett was the anchor there, and he was the man to keep. A Buke/Barnett partnership would have been so much better

Wenyen Gabriel 17 points 3-3 from deep in 25min for the Lakers.

I liked him when he played for Portland. Didn’t know he could shoot threes. He’s a 6’9 Forward but not quick enough to be a wing and not strong enough to be in the paint.

He's very boring. And boring/deferential as a color commentator defeats the purpose.
