If you listen to the media, they paint this race as neck and neck.

But if you look at the numbers and then check out at Embiid's and Jokic's respective carry jobs, objectively speaking, Jokic is on huge level above Embiid.

I agree Joker should be going to the line more.

I also agree with this, what I disagree with is that Jokic should win MVP and Embiid be eliminated from the discussion because Embiid does get a lot of his calls and Jokic doesn’t. That we should give the MVP to Jokic based on assumption instead of how their season is actually going. We can’t make the refs call ALL the fouls on Jokic but i do very much wish they would, watching poor Jokic gets slapped up by terrible defenders that have no other way to stop him all game long is much worse basketball then watching tons of free throws.

Giving Jokic more FTA wouldn't eliminate Joel from the conversation. At the end of the day, it's still a tight 3-man race, IMO with the way Giannis has been playing the last couple of months he can also win it. I just think that since Joel is leading the league in scoring, that's the biggest argument for him being the MVP, and if the gap between his scoring and Jokic's scoring were smaller, he wouldn't have as strong of a case.

Jokic has his team around the same record as Gianis and Embiid's teams but he has way less help. I'm going with Jokic here.

Stating a fact is now being a hater? They have played 5 games against each other in 7 years because Embiid always misses the game. Funny how you are continually resorting to personal attacks since you have no arguments for your boy.

Out of curiosity, what’s the head-to-head record for those 5 games?

I am calling it now. After the game, or even before it ends, there will be ridiculous hot takes regardless of any logical thinking

Is Embiid even playing? B2b with an OT game last night, and Doc rivers coaching?

It's been nice to follow this Embiid MVP run, I've had fun appreciating it. Today is the day where this run ends, it will be a beatdown by Jokic, we will have to bow down to him. We need to appreciate Embiid though, what he has done is very impressive carrying this sorry ass team for so long before Harden came here.

The difference between Embiid and Joker. Embiid will come out and say it’s serious to him. Joker will just say it’s another day.

It's a reverse jinx :D what's gonna happen is if Jokic wins the matchup, he'll come say "See!", and if Embiid wins it, well, his player won it....

Emotional hedge, kinda like me betting Sixers moneyline tonight, if they win I win $, if they lose my favorite player wins the battle

I hate that this one game will probably be worth like a dozen games in the eyes of many MVP voters.

Did Joel really say that? I doubt, to be honest. Jokic and him have immense respect for each other and this would be totally out of line of their usual comments.

Simmons is gone now, needs a new trollspell.

But yeah Embiid isn't as effortlessly consistent or high-volume as Jokic, and it should be Jokic's award to lose.

I don't want to see another MVP get awarded to a player that doesn't make the Finals.
