Should we have two threads? One for Niners off-season, other for league? Might be cleaner.

Top 2 corners off the market. J.C. Jackson to the Chargers, Carlton Davis III returns to Tampa Bay.

The Athletic: 49ers, Jets, and Raiders top 3 teams interested in CB Stephon Gilmore.

Looks like the 49ers may be in on the veteran Gilmore, who is expected to get less than Jackson and Davis did earlier today. Market value is seen between 13-14M AAV.

I am really nervous about the fact that we haven't moved Jimmy yet. If they end up just cutting him, tough to not see that as completely misplaying their hand.

Remember when I said like three weeks ago that I wasn't going to stress about what happens with Jimmy until it happens? I lied. I'm officially stressing. Though that's in large part because I figured he'd be gone by now.

Watson stuff probably has put a hold on Jimmy G. At least on the Saints front.

They should have had something in place and made the move as soon as Wentz went to the Commanders. Arguably before that. Hard to believe the Commanders didn't at least inquire about Jimmy before pursuing Wentz.

DJ Jones is going to the Broncos. Jones and Lanken are two big losses from last year's team IMO

Man Kinlaw better do something this next season or that's two bad moves, drafting him and letting Jones walk.

They should have taken Wirfs.

I'm hoping that ShanaLynch have some unreported info that Kinlaw is recovering better than expected or this team will have some significant holes to fill. And I'm losing hope that we will find a trade partner for Jimmy G as the usual suspects continue to disappear.

Seems like an overpay for Charvarius Ward

I actually think he’s on par with Carlton Davis and JC Jackson. I think Gilmore is potentially the best, but he might be finished at his age.

I actually don’t hate the signing and I’m typically more frugal

Essentially, a 2-year deal worth $26.7M. He's a pretty good corner, definitely someone that can be the best one you have on a good team. They really needed a starter opposite Moseley. Thomas flashed well, at times, but better as a depth piece at this point. Wouldn't surprise me if they re-signed Verrett on the cheap and play him the slot. I think they have to look for a Guard now.

I don’t think they look at a guard, this is why they spent a 2nd on Banks. They saw this coming.

I kind of hope that they don’t spend on a WR. It’s pretty clear that they are going after a WR who can stretch the field. There are plenty of those in the draft. Christian Watson maybe.

They still have a hole at RG with Banks moving to the left. I don't know if they want Brunskill (RFA) at that spot again, he was the weakest starter.

Jaylon Moore was drafted to play Guard and was doing well there last year. I actually think the team has done a a great job of planning for this.

Thought they liked Moore at tackle, but yeah, maybe they can slide him there. They could also view Moore as the versatile backup instead of Brunskill. Bit cheaper, anyway. Still, it wouldn't surprise me if they picked up a vet.

Watson meeting with the Browns tomorrow, interesting. Another day of the waiting game, it appears.
