We’ve learned by now that no matter how hard Weltman tries to make us think he is, he’s not playing 8D chess in some grand tank move.

Something has gone wrong.

I believe earlier in this thread it was stated he had no setback but they identified some weaknesses and they have been working with him to strengthen his body or whatever. I could be misremembering but I don't feel like going back and looking.

I believe they are doing some injury prevention training for Isaac because some doctor said he had a decent chance of getting injured again. Thats my hunch anyway. This is a bad example...but I remember them doing this with Zion at some point with a similar injury (or same? don't remember). Didn't really help I guess but they're also dealing with a much bigger mass than what Isaac puts on his legs.

Isaac is probably the one refusing to play until he is the one who feels ready. More than likely, it's all mental. We know that he has a unique mind.

Why do I keep clicking on this thread? First, it's 40 pages of amateur Orthopedic Surgeons, Political Theory, and Vaccine specialists, now delving into amateur remote Psychiatry :noway:

It's as hopeless as going to "Trades & Transactions" everyday, in hopes of finding a trade involving ORL that actually considers our desire to improve our own team rather than just help the Lakers or Celtics gain some financial flexibility. :banghead:

...and yet I cannot turn away

Magic made 2 trades that they had no benefits of but were done in soul purpose to help Celtics.
First they gave up Evan for nothing but TPE.
Than they didn't use TPE and allowed to expire.
And last day of a trades ,they again made trade that did nothing for them but to help Celtics.

Strange, to say a least. Now watch them cut Lopez & Gary harris so they can join Celtics

Tomorrow marks 19 months since Isaac's injury, for those who celebrate. The traditional gift is street clothes.

Such gutless **** media.

How about asking him why we haven't seen a guy 18 months post ACL surgery even engage in contact work? Let's stop letting Weltman/Hammond operate as if this is all normal. All it takes is for any fan with half a brain to look around at the dozens of ACL surgeries that happen every season in this league and how 99.9% of them return in 12 months or less to see it's not.

I don't agree with the idea that JI's career is over and we need to move on.

I may not agree with that statement either but for the first time I actually put some thought to that notion. I absolutely love JI's game but brass tax? He's never available..... Like I had a wall around JI as if he's untouchable, but that wall for me is starting to crumble a bit

I actually just typed Jonathan Isaac return into Google and this thread came up.

All this information coming out in unfortunate. I really liked Isaac as a player. He reminded me so much of a modern day Andrei Kirilenko, just a stud on the defensive end, and such a unique player.

I hope he makes a full recovery.

Can anyone post why the article says he's ruled out? I'm in the UK so can't access the Sentinel articles.

Assume it's just the usual vague bullsh*t from the FO but just curious if they confirm he's had a setback or whatever.
