It is fair to ask serious questions about the multi-year extension, signed post-injury, making him the team's highest-paid player. Year 1 and 25% of the contract term are now in the books.

Glad they finally announced this. It’s obvious this should have been the outcome post all star break. Now I’d suggest they shut down Fultz now that he’s had some run and get him ready for a full season next year.

They need to spend the money on someone. The extension was a long term move. It hasn’t hurt the team if the plan was a top draft pick all along.

You know what, I had a slight expectation that he would be back this season even for the final stretch of games just like Fultz.

By the time we were around the Christmas mark in the season that expectation got adjusted for me. My optimism went out the window for him returning when we had that report about Isaac having to work on the structure of his lower body. What has irked me a bit is the front office not being transparent with us from months ago. I seriously don't give a damn about what he gets up to in his personal life (His views, his book etc), but almost a year on and that extension is looking more and more sus by the day.

going the full season without him up to this point, and looking at a top 3 pick, I'm ok sitting him the last handful of games instead of screwing up the draft pick. We see what adding 15 min of Fultz is doing.

Not surprised to see Issac out the rest of the year. Only a month left anyway. But it does have me thinking whether or not he’s ever truly going to be strong enough to play a full season. It’s going to be 2 1/2 years once October rolls around. If I’m the Magic, a contingency plan needs to be in place. At the same time, if he’s mostly healthy, there’s no reason to mess with our potential draft position. Fultz playing is already making this team a ton better.

Shocker....you have to start wondering if JI will ever get to his previous level and start looking at other options because we cant rely on this guy and either way he is not a superstar talent either way.

He already had it all defensively but now 2 seasons of development time for offense is out the window. And who knows if he will even physically be as good as he was. I will hope for the best but won't put much thought into it going further and certainly wouldn't plan for him to be around next season.
