Hawks 217 Blazers 39
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point.

Travis and Nate are some screw ups, I guess Jalen isn't any good, he can't stay with the parent team, now they could use him.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Portland has been playing a lot of young talent and they're doing well. This game should be a win for us but we can't look past them (like we did Detroit).

We desperately need to find another scorer. Staying patient is key but we need a true star to have the two punch combo.

Re: Game Thread: Blazers @ Hawks -- 3/14

Jalen Johnson isn't good enough to replace Kevin Knox for Atlanta. Instead, he stayed with the Skyhawks last night. Poor Jalen. He only had 35 points and 15 rebounds. Check the box score to know what Kevin Knox had in last night's game.
When JJ is with the Skyhawks, he plays a lot. When he's with Atlanta, Nate keeps him nailed to the bench. If he had been with the Hawks, you can bet he wouldn't have played.
Oh well. Who am I to complain? After all, Hawks won!

Re: Game Thread: Blazers @ Hawks -- 3/14
Great game from Trae once again, and at last, they win a game to go .500!
But let be objective, there are still some things to fix on the team : it's not normal to not dominate more this "bench" team of POR, like to be on the verge of loosing the IND game.
Josh Hart is very good, but once again, it shows that the opponent SG can easily score 30+pts on them. And nothing change. Nate is unable to find something to limit this spot at 20pts.
It would not be a problem if the team decide to let this spot score and limit the others, AND really dominate, but it's not the case. At least, ATL starters were really dominating.
I'm happy they reached 0.500, but I still have a doubt on something, that may change once the play-in/playoffs come : I sometimes have the feeling that Trae is playing this season with the main goal to be an All-NBA member and turn his Max contract into a Super Max contract, more than leading the team to win.
Even if it's not the case, if I had to change something in this kind of contract, I would replace the All-NBA goal with a Conf Final goal or something like that. Basketball is a collective sport, not a sport where the main goal is too have one individual shining. The goal of the team is to win, this is what should be the incentives, not a personal accomplishment.

Not a team update but the injury requires 4-6 weeks in a split to properly heal. He's also battling a foot sprain injury.
Deepak Chona, an orthopedic surgeon at Stanford University and the founder of SportsMedAnalytics, said Collins has a boutonnière deformity on his ring finger after examining an image provided to The Athletic. It’s related to a sprain but involves the structures that hold the tendons in place, so, essentially the person has trouble straightening the middle joint of the finger. It’s generally treated with the use of a splint full time, ranging from four to six weeks, followed by part-time use of the splint for another few weeks until the joint is able to straighten on its own. Surgery is needed in special cases, for instance, if the bone underneath the tendon is fractured, but that’s not common.

I appreciate the heads up. It sucks, I've got John on all of my fantasy teams and my dude can't catch a break this year healthwise.
