Remember Strus has had some cold games as well so it's not as clear as you are making it seem. I think Spo just needs to pull the trigger a little quicker if Duncan is not on.

Side note: how crazy would Bam's APG be if Strus were starting?

Jimmy Butler: 21.1ppg
Tyler Herro: 21.0ppg
Tyler Herro may become the first player in NBA history to lead a number 1 seeded team in scoring off of the bench. Highly impressive.

Tyler will 100% pass Jimmy. Jimmys just been coasting for awhile now and I’m sure he’ll get injured mid game at least 2 more times in the next 12 to bring his averages down even more lol. As long as he’s locked in for the playoffs and not injured I don’t care

chances are Hero will continue to average 25+ points per game to finish the season, with a 2-3 more 30+ point games left in him. So I can absolutely guarantee he will be our leading scorer at seasons end.

JB doesn't tape his ankles ?? who told you this, I hope JB isn't in this dumbsomerandomdude wrote:Seriously. And I believe he's not taping up his ankle, either (Crotty mentioned that he'd get the ankle taped up in the locker room).

You extend him this summer, next year he is most likely starting and putting up 25+ per game and a possible all star selection, Most improved, etc candidate and your going to have to tag onto that some serious money. Plus you don't deal with a sign and trade issues another year down the line in the case Miami feels they can bring back a player in return of his caliber but a little more experienced/seasoned.

Not necessarily unless they win the title this season. With Pat Riley wanting to win one more championship and he's currently 4 days away from 77, he's going to focus on the short term and try to do whatever it takes to win one more title and with that Herro will be available in a package to upgrade to let's say a top 15 player. If Miami wins a title this year then Riley can leave on top and Herro will be extended and things will move forward with the future being as important as the present.
If Herro is extended this summer it'll be basically too hard to move him(but they can extend him before the season once they know for sure they can't get a whale) with that poison pill contract year but if he is extended that means they couldn't get a whale upgrade to win now and with that Herro is in Miami for the long term.
I actually had a somewhat long message written up about it that I accidently closed while in a meeting. Something about the above and something about 5 years 90 million for a one dimensional player that is barely more efficient then Herro this season so absolute Herro will ask for the fun max from Miami this summer.

I think we could see Herro at 23-5-5 next season as a starter. Might honestly just replicate this same performance next season due to playing more next to Lowry Jimmy and Bam who will take some touches and usage from him in that scenario.

Jimmy and Lowry are regressing every season past this point, so don't see the usage dropping, actually more like it will increase for both Hero and Bam. Hero will still get minutes staggered with the bench as well as a starter, similar to an inverse of this season playing from the bench.

The way I see it is, it takes Strus less games to snap out of a funk than good games Duncan Robinson can string together.

Here's Ira taking a question on it:

Q: Ira, why doesn’t Jimmy Butler tape his ankles? If I’m Pat Riley, I’m taping them for him. -- Eric.
A: ... The problem is that sometimes a player’s comfort dictates their play, and if a player does not feel what he perceives as his needed range of motion, then he might not be as sharp with his cuts. With Jimmy, that is the balancing act, with so much of his game played in attack mode. Still, I agree that if taping is needed, then force him to adjust now, rather than feeling such discomfort when the stakes are higher in more meaningful games. The Heat over the years have mandated such protection, sometimes even contractually. But with Jimmy, there always has been that fine line of placating. The Heat are well aware of what an unhappy Jimmy Butler can be like. Still, between taping, bracing or footwear, there seemingly should be some type of compromise solution.

Spo doesn't play knuckleheads. He probably wouldn't play Kyrie lol
He started Chalmers from day 1. So that argument doesn't fly. Plus I don't think Yurt has given any indication of being a knucklehead. Dude seems always level-headed, and willing to wait his turn. Us fans are another story though

Chalmers wasn't a knucklehead. Maybe Yurt is?

Tyler Herro usage is already high its on par with Curry and Lillard.IceColdCubano wrote:3ammy3uck3ts wrote:I think we could see Herro at 23-5-5 next season as a starter.
