GT #68: Nuggets @ Bullets 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM) [3/16/22]

YOUR Washington Bullets are 29-38 and are coming off another player dropping 40 on their heads... this time, Steph Curry!

The tank has been moving but the lottery odds haven't. All teams ahead of the Bullets in the loss column keep losing.

As the Bullets are about 3 games behind in the Play-IN race with 15 left to play, they'd literally need to semi-run the table to catch the Hornets and ATL Hawks. Not likely.

Wes Unseld Jr's coaching is getting the attention of Wizards twitter prompting Chris Miller on NBC Sports Washington to defend the Bullets HC on air from the angry mob asking LEGIT questions about the rotation and lack of execution.

WUJ's former club is in town with the reigning NBA MVP coming off a big win against the 76ers in a matchup that pitted the two leading MVP candidates for this season against each other. Bones Hyland was HUGE for Denver hitting clutch 3s in the 2nd half and yes, Bones could have been drafted by your Bullets with the Lakers 1st rounder that Tommy Sheppard acquired in the Westbrook trade which instead was used to trade for Aaron Holiday and a trade down to acquire Isaiah Todd at pick 31. A disaster trade when we all knew the Bullets needed to take a flyer on one of these young guards.

Anyway, Denver led by MVP Jokic should win this by about 15.

It'll be Baltimore's own Will Barton's turn to score 40 against the Wiz. But everyone eats (or at least bites) for Washington, and they win a close won - 111 to 108.

As Drew Gooden likes to repeat on air "insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expect a different result"... Honestly, I don't understand what Wes is doing...Why is Neto the starting PG? Why not try Rui as a starter?

All right. Apologies if this has been a frequently visited topic.. but . So why is Raul the starting PG for this team? Why not Santo?

Joker seems excited to be playing against someone with slower footspeed than him.

That tank is strong right now. Watching Porzingis and Bryant try to defend Jokic.

So half time and we are getting hammered ...as expected...

Still Wes keeps playing his vets heavy minutes and insists on playing Neto as the starting PG. Meanwhile Sato is DNP...and whenever he played in previous games he is mostly given the Scotty Brooks treatment of you are 6'7" so you can not be PG and have to play as a wing...

There's so many things wrong with the tank. Playing Porzingis in meaningless game is a big one too.

Neto is a Isiah Thomas sized liability on defense.

Agreed. This is so freaking embarrassing. Just play the youngsters and try to develop them. Frankly, Wes has been a major disappointment.

Agreed, he and Neto are putrid at the NBA level. Truly below replacement level.
