We need Toronto to capture the 6th seed. If we end up in a play in road game versus the Cavs with KD and Kyrie we aren't losing

It'll be dog fight between Cavs and Craptors for 6 seed. They know seeing us in play in tournament is not going to be cake walk.

Not really. They know they 2nd round exit team at best, 1st round most likely. A lot of things went right for them tonight.

My only negative take us that we had Dragic guarding Luka instead of Nic in last 4-5 min. He just killed us there. Definitely a mistake by Nash, Nic does great vs Luka.

Dallas' issue is the same as always. Luka is a monster but if Dinwiddie is your 2nd option you're not getting far... If Luka got real help (Dinwiddie is a step in the right direction) the Never could be legitimately scary.

Cuban will waist Luka years just like he did with Dirk. Losing Carlisle was huge blow.

Exactly. I really wanted the win, but if it was anyone gonna make that, I'm glad it's a beloved former Net.

Yep. If Luka hit that shot i would've been pissed. Spencer hit that shot with Goran in his face. He earned it.

This loss is no shame. If we had Kyrie and Seth we would have destroyed Dallas.

We need to get to 100%. Somehow.

We should stop using that excuse. The Nets haven't been 100% in 3 years

Unfortunate outcome, but looking back, the Nets have been playing well since that Feb 28th shellacking against the Raps. The losses have all been pretty close, and against some of the best / hottest teams in the league (MIA, BOS, DAL).

Still some light at the end of the tunnel IMO.

Should have won regardless though...

cant be mad? im livid. we should have won by 15+. Nash threw away an easy cakewalk win.

up 14, they cut it to 7. they bring in luka we sit KD to go with a lineup with 1 scorer and 4 non-shooters.

It should have never come down to the final play... but even then why would you double off the wing for the super easy pass instead of the corner where you have to throw it 25 feet over a double team?

pathetic pathetic pathetic pathetic. i hate steve nash with the power of 1000 suns. He is the effing worst. he needs to go, marks needs to go with him. im so tired of this nonsense loses that are 100% on coaching

I dunno how long Nash can keep KD out. This is where Kyrie not being available hurts us

This is where having nash as a coach hurts us. up 15, luka out, why would you start the quarter with KD then sit him during a mavs 7-0 run with luka coming back in?

pathetic

We should have destroyed dallas anyway

up 14, luka on the bench for the first 5 minutes of the 4th. we should have cruised to a win.

awful awful horid coaching.

This was a huge blow when we were playing well and one of the worst losses of the season when we badly need any wins we can get. this for me is the low point of the season. a reminder we simply cant overcome steve nash

im sick to my stomach. Ben should sit out the year. dont risk the back, rehab the offseason and hope nash is gone by then

Miami and dallas losses are 2 of the worst all year. and should have everyone realizing how much of a coaching handicap we have

Disappointing loss but I’m not too mad about the way they played overall. Except all the unnecessary switching on defense.

We really blew that game.

Last possession wasn't our fault. But why did we blow the lead in the first place?

Just stupid basketball.

You can't be desperate for wins and blow winnable games like this. Its unacceptable. No excuses anymore.

Chill man, we were on a 2nd night of b2b going vs hottest teams who had legit top5 player on their roster. It took them buzzer beater to get W. It happens.

As I said, you can nit pick on Nash here and there. It's just let's admit the fact that he did improve lately too.

Tough loss not I'm not mad at all.

Dallas are a tough team to play against and their defense and 3 guard lineup is amongst the best in the league.

Nets on a b2b, Mavs haven't played since Sunday(beat the Celtics)

Hard not to improve when your stars drop 50+ on the regular.

If we got blown out cause we were tired fine. throwing away 14 point 4th quarter lead with idotic coaching decisions is not ok

As frustrating as the loss was, I was honestly shocked that we were in a position to win. I thought that a Road-Home B2B against Dallas without Kyrie was a schedule loss prior to the game.

Why? The Mavs were a turnstile defensively under Carlisle. They have the 6th best defensive rating in the league under Kidd with not much different personnel. They have a much better chance of winning in the playoffs playing this way than they did with the 3 ball or nothing style under Carlisle. Kidd is a borderline COTY candidate.

It should have never come to that moment...

we don't have the horses nor a coach to properly hold a lead entering the final minutes of the game.

Most Nets fans seem to harbor a borderline deranged hatred of Kidd.

You'll rarely see a player & coach's accomplishments so minimized, and faults magnified. Jilted 2x at the altar I guess is the explanation, still swamp-deep in their feelings.
