Joel Embiid now Averaging a League Best 30ppg

He’s averaging 30 in 33mpg, some of the greatest scoring centers in league history haven’t done this, to name a few, Hakeem, Shaq, Drob and Ewing never averaged 30. Is Joel Embiid the best scorer in the NBA?

Great scorer, feeling like it's subjective. Kat had 60, Kyrie as well. Durant is still playing like best player in the league.

Trae is incredible, Luka...

He's up there but it is really hard to label someone that.

I don't know. I need an advanced stats nerd to tell me how much Jokic contributes to scoring, and not just PPGZZZZ, as he's also a facilitator that contributes positively to team scoring.

Jokic feels like a more positive contributor to overall team scoring than Embiid.

It's actually not. The players averaging 29+ are the best scorers in the NBA historically. No one is averaging 30 ppg right now. It's more like 20 ppg is the new 15. A lot more 20 ppg players than in prior years.

For once can we just leave Jokic out of the discussion and just appreciate these two all time great centers in their prime? 30/11/4 on the efficiency he's at + good defense is absolutely incredible. Embiid has become the player people thought his ceiling would be pre-draft.

Everyone breaking history in this era. This era is just weak. Nothing is impressive anymore. I truly believe most players are just there for a paycheck or status fame. Its a job. They don't care if they get dropped 60 points.

Giannis is up there in average and he is hardly pushing for that. The era makes regular season numbers untrustworthy.

Giannis is about to be there with less free throws and less shots a game / being a more efficient scorer.

Also pretty impressive that Embiid has the highest % of pts as FT's of any player to have averaged 25+ ppg in a season :clap:

If he keeps up his recent play he might cross 50% shooting from the field, another important milestone that all the all-time great Centers have achieved

He gets one of the softest whistles in league history never seen a big specially at 7ft 290 flop like a bitch as much as him. He makes Vlade Divac look like Steven Adams

You’re not even allowed to defend him with the way he is reffed.

If you touch him, he goes flying 2 miles away at 7-2 310lbs.

Meanwhile he is allowed to basically run into you with his shoulder & it’s a no-call.

We’ve seen guards & wings pull this type of stuff but I have never seen someone of his size play like that — it’s so embarrassing to watch & disrespects the game itself.

It’s very telling that he can’t manage to shoot over 50% from the field despite half of his shot attempts not even counting due to FTs.

Last center to do this was Moses 40 years ago.only other 7 footers are kareem and wilt unless im missing someone.

There are six guys averaging over 28ppg this season. When was the last time that happened? Scoring is just easier these days than in many past eras.
