Hello fellow magic fans…. I was wondering if anyone on here has seen any magic games in a club level seat at the AMWAY and if so how much different are they than regular seats as far as does it include any type of perks? Thanks

Would you do:

Our top 3 pick for D vassell+ SA 1RP (7th pick)

And we pick Keegan Murray with the 7th pick

Trade Ross for future assets

honestly, i dont think Keegan makes it to 7. If you could guarantee that then i would do it, but i could see any of those teams before SA taking him.

You keep the 8 best and move the rest for assets

If we get Vassell and Keegan, you can expect Cole and RJ to be moved

I wouldn't do that for the top pick. I'd be tempted for the second or third picks, but I probably wouldn't do it. I would do it for the fourth pick on down. I really like Vassell. That said, I'm not giving up Holmgren to get him plus the seventh pick.

I'd be really tempted at three, but I'd probably just take Ivey. Ivey has so much upside and he is going to take his lumps next year, which means you'd be increasing the value of your 2023 pick as he learns on the job.

I'd happily give up Banchero or Griffin to get Vassell and a later pick.

I'm over this season, starting to focus on the summer.
#1 what to do with Ross??
Keep him?
Keep him for trade deadline trade?
trade him by himself?
Part of bigger trade package?
#2 what to do with our Cap space?
Nothing, let it ride for a year?
1 year deals on bench vets?
use it part of a trade, to take back more than sending out?
#3 Draft picks?
keep them?
Trade our 1st?
Trade our 2nd?
Trade them and our future picks?

I'd love to see a big trade. thought we could have pulled one off last year, but this year may be better.
We have everything needed to get an all-star without losing the supporting cast.
Young players on good contracts - I'd say anyone other than Franz is available for the right player.
We have a plethora of players at multiple positions
Expiring contracts - We have a nice expiring vet contract with Ross,
Draft picks - plenty with the DEN and CHI picks plus our own.

Its almost like a Panera menu

You get Ross & RJ, add 1 player from column "A", 1 from column "B" and you get to pick 2 draft picks with that order.

Column A ----Column B-------Draft Picks
WCJ------------Fultz------------Our 2022 1st
JI---------------Cole-------------Our 2024th 1st

should save a team $10M this year, They'd have Ross to flip or let expire for another $11M.

1. Trade Ross in part of a bigger trade. Also get rid of one of the guards RJ or Cole in this deal to sweeten the pot. Some contender needing depth will give up youth or a later pick for Ross. Bamba is probably gone, especially if Chet is drafted.

2. Take on a vet for an additional asset. We aren't competing next year and wont be players in free agency. We will have the cap space to acquire more assets.

3. Keep the first. They will probably trade the second for cash or a distant future pick like they have every other year.

We should've offered Otto Porter a 4 year 40m deal when he was here. He would be a nice role player when we start trying to win.

Magic really are a tough team to follow. Every win feels like a loss, every loss feels like a loss. We get excited for drafted player potential, then either watch them struggle (Suggs) or do great (Wagner) but then seem to get pushed aside / left out of games / lost in the wash of people needing touches.

Every season we have someone ultra green light chucking, like a vet to prove they're worth a good contract elsewhere, or a g leaguer proving they belong in the league (Iggy).

I can't believe how many full games I've watched this year knowing all of the above lol

Depressing part is, apart from Franz and WCJ, I'm not truly excited yet about anyone else on the roster. They have shown me something with enough consistency, against a variety of opposition, to be excited about them as a duo.

Suggs ruled out again for tomorrow against Goldens State.

Suggs is carrying on the tradition of Weltman top draft picks in Orlando.

Games played in rookie year:

2017-18 -- Isaac -- 27 games
2018-19 -- Bamba -- 47 games
2019-20 -- Okeke -- 0 games
2020-21 -- Anthony -- 47 games
2021-22 -- Suggs -- 46 games

It's actually unbelievable how unproductive their top draft picks have been. (And before you say Franz, yes, he's been durable, but he wasn't their top pick in this draft. This list compares the players they selected first).

Wow, way to nitpick to force a narrative, as if Franz wasnt a top 8 pick in a loaded draft that they absolutely nailed
