I guess, I'm seeing a lot of terrible play, and it's jarring as hell going from watching the pros to this.

Even someone like Bam who brings more to the table than that isn't quite a bonafide star. Not yet, at least. It's just Gobert and Wembanyama, the projected #1 pick in next year's draft.

That's why I wouldn't want to be the one drafting him. He will 100% be great at what he does, imo, but that's not enough to make him a star which means that I'd rather roll the dice on someone who could be a star instead.

In terms of rim-running bigs...
I guess Jarrett Allen can classify as a star. He was an all-star this year, and should've been voted in the first time without filling in someone's spot. Clint Capela last year was like a weak DPOY candidate guy maybe, so if you think Duren had more offensive ability with stuff like passing, he could also be in the star category.

I feel like it's gotten worse. Back in the day you had Patrick Ewing, Mully, & Easy Ed Pickney all battling it out in the Big East. There were some epic games back then. Now it feels like the only memorable games are these mid major upsets that almost feel predictable now.
