Ish isn't far behind either. Just complete matador show from all of the team's PGs this season.

I loss to the Knicks would be followed up to a loss to the Lakers would be huge the next game.

Only 3 wins ahead of 7th, although SA doing there best to lose this game to OKC.

San Antonio pulls off the win with a three to win it and they have a quiet a few winnable games against the dregs of the league left on their schedule. I think we have a decent shot at 7th or 8th but Sacramento looks out of reach at 6th unless they can get some upset wins.

Man the Lakers don’t even care anymore. It’s not even like they have a pick in the draft.

We're Keystone Cops level of comically bad on D.
Not much better than that offensively either but maybe part
of the reason for that is they always taking the ball out of the net.

Last night really demonstrated for me why PIF said KP is a bad player.

FWIW, the Wizards have the 14th best offense since the All-Star break, and the 28th best defense. However, their DRtg is a full 4 points worse than the 27th worst defense. There's a massive drop-off after the 27 worst defensive team, with the Wizards, OKC and Portland occupying their own special tier of suck.

Still Wes keeps playing his vets heavy minutes and insists on playing Neto as the starting PG. Meanwhile Sato is DNP...and whenever he played in previous games he is mostly given the Scotty Brooks treatment of you are 6'7" so you can not be PG and have to play as a wing...

There's so many things wrong with the tank. Playing Porzingis in meaningless game is a big one too.[/quote

Agreed. This is so freaking embarrassing. Just play the youngsters and try to develop them. Frankly, Wes has been a major disappointment.

The credit for Ish is also un-explainable. You can put Neto as a backup PG and start Deni at the 1. For real. The season is over anyway, try to give the ball more to your young core. So many wasted minutes for old trash. With KP you can maybe say ok he's not that old and he's also very good and might get us some Dubs. Ish? He's not a PG at all in my opinion. the only thing he's doing is run really fast with the ball coast to coast and then shoot a pull-up brick. Neto is bad too (they both because the lack of size in defense overall), but at least he sometimes really playmaking the game and passes the ball good when needed. No idea what Wes is doing.

Agree we should play the young guys -- but there's no reason to rag on Ish Smith, who is playing extremely well.

He's shooting 3 pt. "bricks" at over 42% & averaging 9 assists per 36 minutes (not a pg?) while posting only 2.4 TOs -- almost 4-to-1. Low in TOs, high in Steals, he even grabs almost 6 rebounds per 36 minutes.

You missed my point.
In our situation on the team right now - if he puts them in or not - it's not the issue. The issue is with his role right now in this team, and the job he's doing. Even if he does make them and let's say even in 60%!, how that improves your young players? with that amount of FGA's? To our current situation in the team, these plays are WRONG.

If you were competitive and you would have told me he makes them consistently good even if they are a pull-ups un-assisted shots, i couldn't argue with you (even despite i personally think it's not a good basketball plays for a team in order to win games over time, plus not a good system for young players to grow. I believe in sharing the ball and make the extra pass for a wide open shot).

If you'll play 1o1 all the time your guys in offense won't get a rhythm plus all your shots will be contested offcourse - Ish's thing.

About his Assists, they all probably from the P&R game with Gafford or something. He can pass in these situations and be good (in the end he's a PG), but when he starts to dribble and goes for 1-1 off the dribble - and it happens a lot (check the playtypes if you can) - you lose in the end of the day. He's a typical *scoring* PG, reminds me of Dinwiddie (Spencer he's way more talented yeah?), but we don't need it.

I've checked the data too.
He has 2.3 possesions per game as a P&R Handler (34.8% out of the playtypes) and 1.4 for Iso plays (20.7% - it's pretty a lot i would say). PPP --- 0.77 + 0.84 (bad). These are his top 2 playtypes in offense if we talking about tendency. Btw, in Iso plays he'll shoot a little bit better in jumpers (1 PPP), but overall the stats are bad, and his P&R jumpers are bad as well. And offcourse as i've said before, that's not the basketball you want :noway:
If you enter to both categories, you see that 60% of the shots that been taken are jumpers. He's averaging 3.4 of those per a game this season. Is that what we need? Btw and in the last 15 games he's averaging 5.2.
