If Embiid goes off, they can beat any team. But they have shown that when things are a bit off, they can be awful (game against the Celts, for example). They can win a title or get knocked out in the first round, just like the Nets. I'm saying this as a huge Embiid fan and Philly native. Can't ignore what I have seen. On a side note, Alaa Abdelnaby might be the worse announcer in the league, what a come down from one of the GOAT announcers, Marc Zumoff.

I miss Marc. My son got me a personalised message from Marc for my birthday - included all beloved phrases. “Coming in for a landing”, “turning garbage into gold” etc
I have league pass and I have been listening to the other team’s commentators for a while now.
Alaa is bad, but the woman (forget who name) is much much worse. Forced excitement.

Same as that of the other 8-2 team in the East?

Edit: Oh, the title was misleading. The Celtics really are 8-2 for the past 10 games, vs. the Sixers' 7-3. The Bucks are at 8-2 as well.

their ceiling is 2-4 in the conference finals

they're going to regret letting go of curry. curry/harden/embiid would have been tough

If you expect Nyang and Matisse to shoot 60% from 3 its 1st round exit

I doubt Embiid will be as effective as he is right now in the playoffs. Try to compare how Giannis’ FTA per game in the regular season and in the finals.

Embiid is one of the worst scorer at the post and Harden is one of the worst iso scorers. I dont know how they can score down the stretch.

Sixers also have one of the worst three man units in terms of NetRtg compared to other great big 3s with Harden, Embiid and Maxey.

Consider all these while Sixers does not have a top 10 defense.

So yeah, most likely first round exit

Huh?

Sixers have a top 10 defense, Maxey/Harden/Embiid has been a great big three. See Stormi's most recent post on the game thread. Also Embiid is a fine post scorer. I'm fact it's good he doesn't solely focus there anymore teams would swipe like crazy would constantly double. A bit surprised by this post.

Philly is a top 7 defense this year lol so not sure where you got that they weren't a top 10n defense.

love embiid hesa monster. and always considered philly one of my fav teams, ever since AI. with that being said, i hate harden. yep im hater, im not ashamed of that.

so im in a bit of a dilemma. well, tbh i dont really hate harden. but i hate the kinda teammate he is, when **** not going his way. also harden has to prove he can show up in big games. if he can do that, i dont think anybody can stop them this yaer. they have playoff ball written all over them.

oh yea and they have to overcome doc
im bout dat action boss

76ers are doing really great, considering their only 2 losses with Harden have come at home, against two really good teams - Nets (without Simmons) and Nuggets (without Murray and MPJ). I think what really lowers their ceiling is their bench.

Agreed, our bench is worst in the league.

Lol what? They just beat a Mavs team that's just as good as Boston and way better than the Nets.

You might want to try a little harder to cover up your bias.

That was the biggest game from a pressure and intensity stand point. It was a playoff type game and they folded like a lawn chair and Harden got exposed once again.

Going to be a great playoffs!
I like how my Bucks are getting healthy at the right time but 76ers will be right there with Heat Celtics and Nets if healthy and Irving can play if not they ain’t beating those top teams.

Yes, they may potentially be unstoppable to stop down the stretch because they have the best post scorer, best iso scorer that can run the most unstoppable 2 man action. The 1-5 PnR. All that while they also have the best starting 5 in the entire league.

But they don’t have elite defense.
Defense wins championship.
