The new war has forced a recalculation on other fronts. In one example, American officials have floated the idea of Turkey’s government providing Ukraine with the sophisticated S-400 antiaircraft system. It is the very system, made by Russia, that American officials punished Turkey — a NATO ally — for buying from Moscow several years ago. Now American diplomats see a way to pull Turkey away from its dance with Russia — and give the Ukrainians one of the most powerful, long-range antiaircraft systems in existence.

Oh you didn’t know this when shilling for Russia? It’s in big bold letters in the article.

In Syria, Russia was accused of repeated war crimes
Some of Russia's most intense bombing in Syria came in 2016 during the battle for Aleppo, where a monthlong assault by the Russian/Syrian coalition resulted in the deaths of more than 440 civilians, including more than 90 children, according to Human Rights Watch. The campaign amounted to war crimes, the organization said, writing in a December 2016 report that "airstrikes often appeared to be recklessly indiscriminate, deliberately targeted at least one medical facility, and included the use of indiscriminate weapons such as cluster munitions and incendiary weapons."

That's basically half of the discussion on the CA board right now.

Bottom line. Look how nobody wants to be a part of Russia's orbit. Like, as baaaaaad as NATO is, countries are only not joining NATO because they fear military repercussions. Sad.

I never got why people are incapable of saying that what Russia is doing now in Ukraine is wrong and what the USA has down historically with their foreign policy is wrong as well. Especially if you bring up the war in Iraq as an atrocity, then you should consider what Russia is doing as an atrocity as well when it’s the same thing.

The Russian propaganda reaches the specious conclusion that because the US wars were bad we are disqualified from acting against their aggression. It is self interested drivel. In fact, curbing their illegal invasion of a sovereign nation is the ethical act. This isn't a **** debate team. Ukraine wants to be a liberal democracy and align with the west... just like Iraq didn't. And just like the Iraq war wasn't ethical for trying to make them something they're not by force, Russia's actions are unethical. They are waging a hostile military invasion with massive civilian casualties against a sovereign body that does not want them.

Then you should locate the appropriate "I detest the U.S' foreign policy for decades" thread and post there.

This is a thread about the war in Ukraine, not for diatribes and random posts vilifying Western imperialism.

And, yes, you are shilling for Putin. You post his propaganda regularly. Get angry about being called a shill if you want. It's a fact that you keep posting ludicrous Kremlin-manufactured lies about Nazis, Biolabs and NATO. Over and over again, you spread lies.

It's sounding very grim

I heard one guest on NPR say the Russians in urban areas were being a little more discreet about their conduct because they know the world is watching, but that in the villages and rural areas they are raping and pillaging with reckless abandon. And I don't think they are showing much restraint anywhere, so it sounds like pure hell to me

I'm beginning to think that we're eventually going to get into this. Putin is doing everything he can to provoke us. The question is, what does China do if we/NATO decide to put an end to the slaughter because, let's face it, this is what it is at this point. At least in Maripoul and whoever is left in these small villages. Around 10 million Ukrainians have already left the country.

You did the same thing during Covid and those opposing vaccinations, calling people names and so forth.

What I posts are some global views on why this war happened, so it is relevant but it's not what you believe and therefore you go on these rants and want tu subjugate all other voices.

Educate yourself on way on why a good number of African, South African countries, India, historical scholars, ex-presidential, ex-military advisors, Henry Kinsinger and others, on the whys of this War that are just different.

At the end of the day, I've asked you a few times to abstain from replying to me in this thread but your asss can't help himself.

China is the biggest bully in the world. The west are no saints. But don't buy that propaganda that China is somehow more open-minded.

People are moving toward the Yuan because they are betting that China will overtake US as the world's #1 economy.
