He’s like a smaller slower less athletic Porzingus. And likely gonna be as injury prone cuz he’s gonna have to over exert the max of his limits.

Bates has had a disastrous season. He played all of 3 minutes in their game vs Boise. The turning point in Memphis' season was him leaving the team, it seems like Duren has overtaken him in terms of hype as a prospect.

On Chet - he will be one of the most polarizing draft prospects in years. I can't wait to read the hot takes on him. I'm not even saying they're wrong, but the oracles will definitely be out in full force.

Zags Holmgren called for a flop warning.

First time I've seen that in NCAA

Inside March madness coverage is so bad by the way. Huggins rather be somewhere else, Rex Chapman looks like he is medicated with Xanax

Don't worry the refs are doing everything they can to help them get back in it. Don't get me wrong, N. Carolina is **** up & Hubert Davis seems to be absent, but the refs are certainly not "calling it both ways" (as the saying goes). :nonono:

Yeah I don’t usually watch college basketball, but figured I’d watch the 2nd half of this game.

I don’t have a bias for either team, but my goodness the refs were so badly favouring Baylor for a really long stretch in the 2nd half. It seemed like they were given a free ticket to just foul, push people over half court, jump over their backs to grab offensive rebounds

Like others have said though, North Carolina weren’t doing themselves any favours, they looked like a bunch of scared kids when the full court press was on.

All that spacing and no one knew how to use misdirection to lose their defender, then again no one knew how to beat their defender off the dribble, set a screen or throw a decent pass.

No one I saw from either team looked close to being NBA material. Obviously basing it off less than 30 minutes in 1 game isn’t realistic but they just didn’t impress me at all

I am not saying he will bust, but knowing Chet is most hyped prospect in the draft, is a reminder that anyone can bust. This guy will definitely need to build on his game to be an NBA player, hes just not NBA player at the moment.
he just looks so weak, I mean look at Wembanyama debuting in the EUroleague, he is useless, and we are talking about a kid who is twice the rim protector as Chet.

Looking at things from Chet, Wembanyama perspective, these guys are not NBA material until they actually get in the league, and its either gonna click for them or not, they either gonna live in a weight room, or not. Between these two at least, there is no such thing as guaranteed success, doesnt matter they could alter shots at junior level, when any pro can so easily push them around on the court, which is a case for Wembanyama, guy cant box out some guards, he has less mass than fart in the wind on the court and its a contact game.

Shout out to St. Peters, that team is so well coached, reminds me so much of the FGC run in 2013. That team was also big balled, and got the most out of what they had.

What do you guys think about Adama Sanogo as a prospect from UConn? To me, he has the chance to be a great defensive backup center ala Favors.

I'm also VERY impressed with how Kofi Cockburn has been playing, and the same with Christian Koloko. Both have shown the ability to be more than just the biggest body on the floor offensively, and both have added other elements to their games.

If you are a fan of a team that is desperately looking for a bench big or developmental big, than this draft is going to be fun to study. I'm overall not high on this draft top-end wise, but think it has the potential to be anther 1-60 all play in the NBA type of drafts like in 2012.

The last two games are all I've seen from Chet, and what I saw left me unimpressed. Hot take: He will be a completely wasted lottery pick. Just hard to see him ever actually succeeding in the NBA.

He's the only player in NCAA tournament history to have a game of 15+ points, 15+ rebounds, 5+ blocks, and 5+ assists.

And he did that in his first tournament game played.

Lol @ not impressive.

The kid can handle and pass at 7 feet...if utilized correctly, he will absolutely have an impact on the league.

He's gonna get bodied all day, I look forward to seeing if I'm wrong but I'm not feeling the hype either.

Just like KD, AD, Ingram, etc?

It'll take a fearless coach, but his passing and handling are superb for such a tall young player. They'll have to utilize him correctly and go against the grain.

He's been one of the best defenders all season.

We'll see.

Chet physically resembles Aleksej Pokuševski more so than Durant, Davis, and Ingram. It isn’t unreasonable to have big doubts about his ability to be an impact player in the NBA given his body type and potential durability.

So, who will be this years Kemba, Napier type of guy? Known talent, but has great run, shows leadership, probably wins it all, jumps way up in the rankings?

Durant and Ingram can play PG in the NBA. if you think Chet can handle the ball in this league, you are up for a disappointment.

I see Holmgren as a more talented and skilled Evan Mobley.

It’s not hard at all. Regardless of what you think about him he’s still a 39% three point shooter, elite shot blocker, and can handle the ball very well. Though the team that drafts him is going to have to heavily invest in his fitness regiment for him to succeed because none of that will matter and he will bust if he doesn’t bulk up. Don’t forget Giannis was an atrocious, skinny rookie that the Bucks went all out to develop. Anything less and Giannis probably wouldn’t have panned out. The same commitment will need to be made to Holmgren. If that happens it’s actually very easy to see Holmgren becoming a star.

Jabari > Banchero > Chet, IMO. Chet is an amazing talent but Jabari and Banchero are seamless fits at the next level from an athletic perspective.

Good game, congrats Duke4life831

Duke really put their big boy pants on and took over that game in the last few minutes.
