I’m happy for the Lady Terps. Regardless of next game, they’ve achieved as much as could be expected.

I don’t think they’ll get past Stanford, but I am still rooting for them to somehow make it to the Final Four.

Ok, I remember him only because he took over for Jeff Ruland at Iona. Seems like a decent coach with a lot of college coaching experience for a 46 year old. Has a poor record in NCAA Tournament games. Not an exciting choice, but we'll have to wait and see. Can he recruit?

Nope, hasn't shown he's a good recruiter as of yet....and that's why his staff is going to be important.

Supposedly, looking at a number of DMV-connected recruiters.

Yeah, if they succeed, it'll be because the assistants they hire are great recruiters - and the Under Armor connection has to pay off.

Good hire, not a great one. The guy rebuilds wherever he goes. Iona, Seton Hall and while I won't say Maryland needs a complete rebuild, they need a kick in the ass. Now, he will have a practice facility and reportedly David Cox, former URI coach and Tony Skinn, an Ohio State assistant helping him recruit the DMV.

Cox was an assistant at Georgetown and Archbishop Carroll. Is a D.C. guy who was just fired at Rhode Island. Tony Skinn was former George Mason player and former assistant at Team Takeover one of the top AAU programs in the nation. Ties with that program mean a lot.

That's actually what I wanted to hear from him. Maryland's slow pace drove me crazy with Turgeon - especially since they were always BAD in half-court basketball.
