I think most of you were impatient. He was drafted known as a raw project and many knew that but didnt want the patience that come along with it.

We are often reminded that Spobot is set in his ways and never changes however we have changed from one of the teams shooting the least amount of 3s to one of the teams shooting the most 3s per game.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

This is what I am talking about. Time working together to know how they should play off each other.MiamiSun wrote:Another way of looking at it is that our first round opponent has many different scenarios to plan for. If you are locked into your rotation now, opponents can already start working on schemes for the matchup. But throwing all kinds of combinations at them right now makes them have to plan for many more scenarios.

It's more about Spo than the fans, our patience or lack of has no impact on who actually plays. Why waste a first on a front court player if you aren't going to even experiment playing him and Bam together? Maybe Bam would be further along offensively if we threw him into the fire with some minutes next to Hassan. Guaranteed next year we won't be seeing much of Bam/Omer together either. The guy just wont play anything resembling a traditional front court.

Oladipo vs Beal career comparison
I think getting Dipo back in great shape will be as impactful on the floor as Beal could be here. Though Beal is a talented scorer, he is a sieve on defense. We all know what Dipo can do on that end.
No. Sorry. Pipe dreams.
Be content if Oladipo can become a productive and consistent player again. Matching Beal's impact is a ridiculous and unfair expectation.

Re: Miami Heat Regular Season Thread 21-22 Vol. 3
There is a chronic injury that Jimmy is dealing with. Im not sure its the toe problem which the symptoms are consistent with. But since he had that injury in December his lift and explosion has been bad. Jimmy is a soldier but a player can only hide an injury so much. I said a few times since December that Jimmy is favoring a foot or leg. You see it when he does his jumper you see him hesitate around the rim. And unfortunately its gonna carry into the playoffs.TroubleS0me wrote:
Its why I keep harping on Bam and Lowry to pick up their games. Herro has the other two big contract players need to as well. I was hoping Bam will start to incorporate himself in the forth quarter and make himself personally responsible for how the Heat wins games. That is what missing from his game. That 4th quarter crunch time scoring. But he is still content on being a on court spectator in the last 5 mins.

Oh man, just absolutely cooked this kid one on one. Straight up 1 on 1, no Herro recovering from having to bail out a teammates bad defense or none of that. These dudes just got the ball and cleared it out on him. I’m surprised they only shot 75%.
Maxey, Harris, Milton, Niang. Just didn’t matter who it was lol
Now just imagine this in a playoff series against KD and Kyrie in the first round.

I counted 3-4 “bad” defensive plays. Milton pushed off twice, and Herro was still right there for a good contest. Niang and Harris are physical mismatches. Maxey was the only one who was really giving it to him.

Milton pushed off once. “Good” contest doesn’t matter if the lack the length and athletic ability to make it mean something. Spo has to figure out a way to counter this or we’re cooked in a playoff setting. Especially in the clutch where we’re a bottom 5 team

While watching the game I got a feeling Spoelstra was trying to make a statement to the players or some specific players more then trying to win the game. The team came out flat, the defense wasn't near what they should be and of course, Spoelstra left Herro out there getting cooked which I don't think happens in a game Spoelstra is trying to win.
I expect the effort to be there once the playoffs start but there's too many new wrinkles on the team and too many missed games by key players to have a high level of chemistry that this team is going to need in the playoffs. Last night I saw a lot of plays I expected a teammate to help and it just wasn't there. Maybe with Embiid and Harden being out they just didn't work like they normally would and with that let the 76ers get on a roll which helped them win the game. You know, kind of like when Bam and Butler was out and Miami's backups got consistent time and gave great effort which allowed them to to get into the rhythm of the game better and beat teams they had no reason beating.

Yea I mean they just did to us last night what we’ve been doing to everyone all season. At full strength I don’t think we look better than a few of our East contending teams, especially the Celtics who are just running through everyone they’re matched up with easily.

There's a such thing as good defense better offense. He put himself in position, contested the shot, and the player made it. This happens on a nightly basis.

And that’s fine but when he’s not scoring and he’s a major liability defensively because he doesn’t have the tools for it, it’s going to be a huge issue in a playoff setting against much better players than the guys who were cooking him last night

Bruhhhh wtf did bam do??? No embiid and look at his stats against 37 year old milsap loll.. all u do is complain about herros defence.. where’s bams offense against nobody’s? If embiid played we all know bam wouldn’t have even scored that much and got roasted on the denfesive end by his daddy.. not like bam can take over a game and score 60 like the other night like KAT “who you reckon is a worse centre than bam”..
