I like Our Flag Means Death. The pilot really had me dying and the rest of the series hasn't fully lived up to it, but it's still good fun and full of really funny conceptual gags. Rhys Darby is so great at playing endearing incompetence.

I haven't watched the American version, but the British version of "Ghosts" is hysterical.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I've seen maybe 2-3 of the Marvel movies so I'm starting to watch them in order of the Marvel timeline.

Captain America: The First Avenger was pretty bad.

Captain Marvel was okay, much better than Captain America: The First Avenger.

If you thought The First Avenger was bad, the Marvel movies might not be for you.

That might be the case but I'm going to give it a shot. I loved Guardians of the Galaxy but I'm assuming that might be the best one of the group.

Eh. I'm very meh on most Marvel movies, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think the first Captain America is pretty easily the worst of their films outside of Norton's Hulk. The first half is pretty interesting, but the second half sucks.

Hmm, I could be in the minority. The second half definitely isn't as good as the first, definitely agree with that.

Thor 2 put me to sleep, I had to restart it like 4 times. I don't know why I did this, I'm sure there are books on the pathology of it.

When I do my rewatches now I just ignore Thor 2. It's by far the worst of the franchise.

I honestly don’t remember anything about Thor 2 outside it having that elf dude and the red infinity stone (Reality stone?) I literally can’t think of a single thing that actually happens in that movie, just completely forgettable.

Funny enough Thor 3 (Ragnarok) is one of my 3-5 favorite MCU movies. Just completely turned around that whole character and trilogy of movies for me with Ragnarok.

Thor 2 and Iron Man 2 might be the only MCU movies I haven't sat through.

Oh my god. I’m pissing myself right now. Somehow I’ve never seen this. Norm was a god.

Norm was somehow not dynamically creative but also uniquely dynamic at the same time.

The first round of marvel movies werent close to what they are doing now. It's kind of an issue with this new generation of characters, bc people forget how difficult it was to introduce the original avengers. Iron Man 1 is really the only great one before the first avengers. They aren't exactly good at introducing new characters in their own movie.

The best ones in the marvel universe are generally sequels, full avengers movies, or with characters already introduced like black panther or the new spider man.

For example, I really liked Shang Chi, but it what it would have been cool if he popped up before in some random other marvel movie. The eternals desperately needed this, much more so than shang chi, since half the movie is exposition.

I like the Marvel films, but I'm definitely more excited for the next phase of the universe to come out. I've always gravitated more to the darker, street level characters like Daredevil and Blade. Moon Knight was always darker too and now that Disney is going R with their streaming service, I heard Moon Knight will be on the darker side too (not as dark as daredevil). Maybe they'll find a way to do Ghostrider some justice too.

Winning Time is excellent. If even 10% of how they portray Pat Riley is true, I want to have his baby.

Iron Man 2 is one of maybe 3 movies I've ever walked out of.
