This. 1000%. Neto is now back in to close the game…when he should be in China playing for the Guangdong Tigers..

Neto going to play almost 30 minutes just shows how big of black hole our PG position is.

I just don't understand why not to give all minutes at 1 to Satoransky who plays very well, run Kispert in the 2, and just keep Neto and Ish out for a backup, while you playing Deni and Rui in the 3/4. I just can't take it anymore and watch Ish and Neto balling all game, they are un-watchable. I can't see one more pull up from Ish nor the defense of both of them.

Because Wes is coming from a competent organization in the Nuggets that knows you have to draft talent to succeed in this league. With Ish and Neto Wes can play try-hard guys and look like we are trying to compete, but still not lose ground to teams behind us in the lottery. We may not catch the teams in front of us, but if we had lost to LA we would be tied for the 9th spot. As it stands we are at #11 with the Lakers only one game better than us. Ahead of us Indiana, Portland, San Antonio keep actually winning a game here and there. New York, San Antonio, and Portland all have significantly easier schedules than us. Portland has the easiest, and they are playing young guys who are motivated to show something. Charlotte just won 5 in a row and dropped past us when we were both at the 10th position all year. Of our lottery peers, only Indiana and the Lakers have a harder remaining schedule than us. It won't happen but if we could fall to the 8th worst record we'd have a 26% chance at a top 4 pick. Whereas if we won a few games and climbed to only the 14th worst record in the league we would have a 2.4% chance at a top 4 pick.

Its worth it to play a few games of Ish and Neto to have a 1 in 4 chance of getting the top tier talent available.

badinage wrote:The problem is, he’s being treated — by the media, by the front office, by ownership — as if he’s this team’s Lebron or Giannis or Jokic.

That’s the problem.

And he doesn’t correct people; I’m not saying that he should — who wouldn’t want attention lavished on him? But it’s all totally unwarranted for a player who has never gotten out of the second round, and who has never won 50 games in a season. If he had humility, he would say: “Guys, look; this isn’t my team; I’m not Ted; I’m not Tommy. I’m a captain, and I know my team is counting on me, and I welcome that. I relish it. But I won’t talk about my teammates in the media. And they shouldn’t either. We’re one. One team.” I’m not saying I expect him to say that. Or that any pro sports star would. But he could. And given the resume, he should.

But I don’t blame Beal. He’s flawed; he’s not perfect. And it’s frustrating, because we all want him to be — some of us desperately so; I know I desperately do. But he’s simply good; a good player. And sometimes a very good player.

But then there’s the baggage — and there seems to be more of it than there used to be.

I don’t like the way he presumes to speak for the team, or what he says. I don’t like his throwing teammates under the bus. I don’t like a lot of the body language I’ve seen. I don’t like the turnovers in the fourth quarter. I don’t like the poor shooting percentages. I don’t like the way he seems to leak to Quinton Mayo. I don’t like the way his wife gets involved. Etc., etc.

And — I’m tired. It’s a tiresome thing for me at this point. Will he resign or won’t he? How will the team build around him? Miami has an interest. Philly has an interest. Beal says he remains committed to the franchise that drafted him — for now. I’m tired. It’s all boring and uninspiring and it just feels like a drain.

And I like him. I do. He’s a good player and a good guy. But he’s not Gilbert. He’s not lovable. He’s not exciting. He doesn’t win games on the final shot. And — we don’t win. So, I’m ready to move on. It’s time. It’s past time.

Show me one person who says if we resign Beal we will win a championship.

So you saying all what is important rn for the coaching staff / managment is a good draft pick, and as for the development of young players in their own team screw it all?

You will lose either way. With Ish and without him. There is no any guarantee you will win games if you'll put them out. So you just hurt your young players development. You can lose even without Ish and Neto. For the chances you will lose games with them compared to without - ESPECIALLY with the tough schedule of games the team has, play with them won't change nothing. Can't understand it.

And also now when the season is over it's the time to give ball to these youngins, next season when we're competitive and will have a star caliber player they won't see a ball. If they'll put some good performances they can get confidence.
