I've been rewatching Better Call Saul in preparation for the final season, and it really is an understated gem. So many nuances and layers that you'll only truly appreciate after a rewatch, and the way the characters develop over the course of the episodes is just remarkable. I honestly think it's surpassed Breaking Bad; the cinematography, writing, and acting are all better imo. Of course, Breaking Bad remains more iconic, but Better Call Saul improved on its formula. Can't wait for the final season.

I'm still waiting to see season 5 before season 6 starts. It needs to hit netflix already.

Say less bro! Lve, love, LOVE The Last Kingdom.

Why is it so great? I tried watching a few episodes some time ago and it didn't glue me...

Wow, i forgot about it. Didn't know a last season was soon coming up. Great then. It's the best series I've watched in the last few years along with Rome.

I'm not sure if it qualifies, but Into the Badlands is a lot of fun with some of those elements. It's on Netflix too.

Side note: Is Vikings Valhalla something i can watch without watching all of Vikings?
We won it for Al!!!

Here's the trailer if you haven't seen it yet. I'm excited (and fearful) to know what becomes of Nacho, Lalo, Kim, and of course, Saul after the events of Breaking Bad. April 18 can't come soon enough!

Aren't those flashbacks in the earlier seasons a glimpse into Saul's future? (post BB)

Yes, the black and white scenes show the aftermath of Breaking Bad, when Saul went into hiding and is now working at a Cinnabon. In every season of Better Call Saul though, there are more scenes progressing this story to show that this isn't the end of Saul's story, and we'll finally find out what will ultimately happen to him in this final season. Will he have a happy ending? Will his cover be blown? Where's Kim Wexler? (Nebraska, where Saul is hiding, happens to be Kim's home state, which isn't a coincidence I think).

The conclusion of these b&w scenes will be the bow that wraps up the Breaking Bad universe, unless the creators decide to create more spinoffs.

Not for everyone. I'll be honest, the first THREE times I tried to watch Game of Thrones I kinda didn't get it. Felt slow. I just love the writing in TLK. In this last season which I just finished, Eliza Butterworth who played Lady Aelswith turned in her finest performance of the season. She stole every scene she was in and showed tremendous range. In fact, the women totally made this season from Millie Brady who play Lady Aethelflaed to Ruby Hartley as Utred's daughter Stiorra to the magnificent Emily Cox whose slow descent into madness and anger was captured as Brida. Really was a great show and they ended it the right way, unlike GoT.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

If you are okay with mixed genres, Kingdom on Netflix is awesome. Period piece (medieval Korea) combined with GOT like politics combined with Zombie apocalypse. It’s also only 6 episodes.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
