The last couple of games and weeks have been an awful display of Miami Heat basketball...Plus we know that although we are number one, come playoff time we are probably doomed... these facts make everyone crazy, including fans... the players, spo or Riley do not have the magic wand, spo tried something, he did it quite possibly, to compete with the top three or four teams In THE NBA

It's not working and it probably won't, especially given the players we have on the team

We can small ball-it 50% of the time and compete great, we don't have the small balls necessary to do it 95% of the time...lol

Ethan Skolnick says the Heat are internally concerned about Jimmy. He said various people gave several different reasons why but it seems like Jimmy is becoming a problem in the locker room again.

I am very curious what metrics Spo sees that makes him think small ball is a system and not just a tactic. I thought the destruction the Bucks brought last playoffs would be the end of the small ball era, but Spo is committed.

At this point, I am not sure if anything is going to change Spo’s programming either. It seems like he is looking at the benefits of small ball through a game by game lense, as opposed to the overall impact small ball has on the team. Increased fatigue, injuries, and ultimately end of season losses are inevitable with the system. Shame on either the analytics people for not showing that, or Spo for not listening.

You dont go from maxing a guy and building a team in his image to being concerned about that same player in less than a calendar year.

FWIW it seemed to work out for us when Wade cussed out Spo and pushed him. Also FWIW Wade in only his 2nd year in the league was already worlds better than anyone on this team

While Ethan might not be the best person, what he said probably has merit. Its not like Butler has a history of being a problem on multiple teams. Hopefully we have some drastic changes this offseason.

The difference is we have the altercation on film, heck some of the videos are in 4k. We all can see it. The same thing with Butler and his previous stops, its all documented.

This sorta reminds me of the guy who got his current gf because she was cheating with him while with another dude. The new guy will swear to everyone, she’s a changed girl man, she wont do that to me, we different, we got something special, we got culture, we a family etc, we mean something. We all know how this story ends.

Ethan may be right but the degree of concern is likely not worth mentioning. They are all humans, everyone gonna have an opinion about one another internally. Thats just work space life. You try to not let it boil over to the public. I think they are OK and understands each other motives. They closer you get as friends more potential for flare ups happen during stressful moments. I think at the end of the day they were motivated by wanting to win.

Props to our guy UD for standing up, apparently some from Reddit thread got this with the highest upvote.

"Ok so hijacking this comment. It appears Jimmy told Spo "Don't threaten me like I'm a bitch." and Spo said "You think I'm gonna **** fight you?" while Haslem was saying "Show them! Show them! (talking about the Warriors) We're not you're mother **** enemy. We not your enemy!" then Jimmy stood up and looked like he starred Haslem down (maybe said "**** you" at this point?) and he was just checking him at that point"

If this is true, then JB is a b*tch. Spo may have called him out for being passive this past few games.

Trade his *ss somewhere if continues to be cancer. Even a prime LeBron and Dwade didn't go down to this level with Spo. Shooting the ball lethargically ain't gonna help either.

That would make sense. Haslem was definitely saying “show them”.

I’d say it’s all good but we’ll see Friday. Guys fight like this all the time in the heat of the moment, we all know this is a super close knit group.

Is that the difference or is that the opportunity for Skolnick to piggyback on speculation?
