I don't know..Arkansas is good. They played Baylor close in the elite 8 last year and then Baylor went on to crush Houston in the final 4 and blow out Gonazaga in the championship.

Prior to last year, Arkansas hadn't even made the tourney in a few years.

Villanova to the Elite Eight. Michigan loses again to Nova. Deja vu?

I haven’t watched college ball this year but watching Duke right now. I’m impressed by Mark Williams as a big guy. Seems to have nice hands and can finish around the rim. I’m not saying he’ll be an all star but he looks like he could start in the league after a few years.

Not a fan of Jeremy Roach.

Great move by K going to the zone. TTU seems to have no clue how to attack it.

Just need to make some shots.

Him, Koloko and Oscar T all have that quality about them and are projected as late 1sts.. I really want Koloko of the 3, but any of the 3 would be good for us

Ok. NOW I get all the Banchero hype. Very intelligent, intuitive, gutsy, polished player.

As a Duke fan the only team I'm terrified to see left is Houston. Purdue is a little scary as well.

Paolo has been just flat out fantastic so far in the tourney. When he limits the hero ball and just plays with the flow of the offense, he is such a joy to watch.

Dont get me wrong Arkansas can definitely win the game. Any of these teams can beat anyone. But Duke just beat the better version of Arkansas tonight against Tech. And this isnt me just saying this because Duke just won. Earlier in the afternoon in this thread I said I was more worried about Tech than either Zaga or Arkansas. Tech and Arkansas are very similar teams. Elite defenses with offenses that can struggle and both teams that struggle to shoot the ball. I was just more worried about Tech because they're the better defensive team and I felt like Byrson Williams was a tougher matchup for Duke than anyone Arkansas has.

Notae and Jaylen Williams are good, but Duke matches up well with them. Duke has Roach to throw on Notae and Mark chilling in the lane to protect the rim. Again no doubt Arkansas can win, but Duke just beat the better version tonight and if both teams play to their best Im not too worried about Arkansas. Houston on the other hand, ya if Duke moves on Im hoping some team on the other side of the bracket knocks them out.

yeah, Duke is sharpening their steel in the tournament with tough wins over Michigan St. and Texas Tech. They have to feel confident after finishing strong against those two teams.

You're not alone. He was a top-30ish pro prospect out of HS and he's been going in the 1st round in a lot of mocks after a strong year this year. Seems legit as a draft pick this year, could even see him rising after interviews and physicals.

Attended the Sweet 16 in San Antonio last night. Energy at the AT&T Center was electric.

Villanova took down Michigan and Houston upset Arizona.
Bennedict Mathurin had a poor night shooting for AZ, going 4-14 from the field. A lot of that had to do with Houston’s stifling defense though. They’re dawgs Defensively. Still expect him to be a top-10 pick in this year’s draft.

He has increased his draft stock and looked better than other notable bigs this month.

He wasn't awful at the beginning of the season. He's just gotten considerably worse through the season. He's a poor defender and his shot is inconsistent. Teams have relegated him to a jump shooter. At the beginning of the season he was more active around the rim where he shines with his great touch.

With that said, him and Kerr have been downright bad the past month or so. Kerr has an injured ankle but the dude just keeps chucking up 3's like it's 1995. I love the dude b/c he's the heart & soul of our team but he killed us yesterday.

All in all, I'm not super disappointed with the way our season went. It sucks to lose 'early' but we never were supposed to be here in the first place and it doesn't erase a terrific regular season.
