3/22

Warriors (-7.5) @ Magic
Clippers (+6.5) @ Nuggets

Don't think Mavs are gonna get any help tonight

Lol. Incorrect. Dubs are shite without Steph.

If the Mavs can stay hot, especially win their next 3, there's an outside shot they slide into the 3 spot. Knock on wood!

Based on remaining schedules, MEM/UTAH/MIN still has 6-7 opponents who are currently top 8 in east or west conference, while GSW/DAL/DEN only has 4, given that GSW/DEN still have significant injuries probems (Curry, Murray, MPJ), actually it seems DAL has the most favourable situation.

Jazz (+5.5) @ Celtics
Warriors (+6.5) @ Heat
Suns (-1.5) @ Timberwolves

This could be a big night if the Mavs can take care of the Rockets

Can very well tie with Utah if they lose and be 1 game away from the 3rd seed if GSW loses.

GSW not only has Steph out right now, but Draymond is just coming back off injury & isn't in rhythm, yet. He just got up to his full 30 mpg action tonight vs ORL and they lost. Klay's not exactly in mid-season form either. It's not really an issue for their playoff seeding. Moreso, if they don't get it together by the start of the playoffs, they could get bounced in the 1st round. This is a team that if they were all healthy & in rhythm would be the title favorites imo.

It's kind of a big deal. I also don't think you can pencil PHX in as the same team they've been until CP3 comes back and proves his thumb injury isn't an issue.

That pretty much makes the West wide open for now. Completely agree with your assessment. Mavs have the more favorable schedule, and while they've been running hot winning close games late in the 4Q, they could not only slide into 3rd. The Mavs could be headed to the 2nd round of the playoffs with a favorable matchup, homecourt advantage & a chance to go to the WCF. They're in a much better position than they were at the ASB.

Wolves and Jazz lost, Dubs beat the Heat without the big 3 and OPJ

The Mavs should focus on next 4 games first. Minny, LAL, Utah, Cavs...everything could happen.

PHX has just secured the best record, hence from now on, I think they will start to rest core players, and hence facing them may become like facing a non-playoff team.

UTAH and DAL both has 9 games remaining, and both includes 4 relatively difficult games of @DAL/@LAC/@GSW/MEM and @MIN/UTAH/@CLE@MIL respectively. To me, UTAH actually has a lot easier path, since MEM has comfortable lead on its #2 seed, UTAH can take advantage when facing MEM, just like when they face PHX), also GSW is suffering from injury problem, while DAL remaining 4 currently playoff opponents are all very tough games, if DAL cannont win that one vs UTAH at home, I would say it bascially loses the chance to get that home court advantage.

Dallas will likely have to win six out of those nine games to secure the fourth seed and they’ll definitely have to split the Utah games.

BTW, this year is Mavs 1st real chance at 50 wins season since 2015.

Damn. Tonight was a missed opportunity. Jazz & GSW lost.

Wish there was a game thread to read back the posts. This last 2 years with Bally's TV has sucked. I haven't gotten to watch a single game that isn't nationally televised.
