Regarding the book, that there is some pretty sweet 4d chess. Vince was always the bigger person and they publicly made up.

Also, I believe the thanksgiving thing was a misunderstanding where smith was going through one of Carter’s friends and they got their messages tied mixed up.

Didn't know about that, thanks for sharing. Really shows the impact a franchise's media access can have at times. I think a huge reason the Leafs suck so bad is the overly-critical media that the players/coaches have to waste energy on & get in their own heads & be forced to interact with these unhealthy reporters lol. Same with New York & Philly even. Obviosly Phillys in a good spot now but hey the medias scorn may have helped a superstar choose not to play for them anymore. Even Masai after making the biggest positive franchise altering move in Raptors history had an obviously shaken dreary look for weaks, he was getting burnt out by the hate & focused on the negative media questions after finally securing a legit superstar for the first time ever in our franchise.
