Spida feels like the easiest cut. I don't have him as a top 6 guard. I'd probably leave off Harden as well.

I'd probably go:

Paul/Curry
Ja/Booker
Trae/Luka

honest question

if luka is counted as a guard being 6'7-6'8 what stops people like tstum, lebron, or any other big player who is his team primary ball handler and playmaker from being called guard?

B/c he and Brunson are playing at two guards spots in DAL starting 5. LJB is F b/c Westbrook and Monk/Bradley are starters at G positions. Why do you think that ball handler/playmaker must be called only guard? Guards with good rebounding skills don’t become C or PF….

I kinda feel forced to put Paul and/or Booker on my all-NBA teams, but I think they are the two worst guards here.
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.

Lakers haven't won a single game without Westbrook!

My All-NBA teams for guards are as follows:
1st:
Morant
Doncic

2nd:
Booker
Harden

3rd:
Paul
Mitchell/Young (if Hawks finish strong)

Curry having a down year and them playing extremely poorly when Green missed time is the reason he doesn't qualify as of now for my 3rd team.

shows how we value different things because I honestly thought about just making both of them my 1st team guards. :D

I can agree to put them on the 1st team, but do you think they are the two best in terms of quality in a vacuum?

Jrue/Murray/Garland/VanVleet all deserve consideration imo.

How I have it as of now.

1st teamer: Curry

Guys competing for the 2nd 1st team spot or 2nd team spots: CP3/Jrue/Mitchell/Booker

Guys competing for 3rd team spots: the rest

If forced to choose as of now I'd go like this:
1st - Curry/Booker
2nd - CP3/Jrue
3rd - Luka/Mitchell

Team win% gap by players (Harden not included due to trade)
Jrue 41.4%
Steph 40.3%

Murray 33.5%

Luka 17.9%
Mitchell 17.8%

Booker 9.8%
Paul 9.7%
VanVleet 8.3%
Garland 6.7%

Young 0%

Ja -27%

I like Jrue and he is my on TOP6 guards list, but whole NBA community doesn’t think so, b/c he is less popular and doesn’t have value for marketing.

Probably not, no. Which is in part why I ended up pushing Booker down to the 2nd team.

I think I'd go with Trae over Luka for that last 3rd team spot on some more thought.

Could see that slot going a ton of different ways though. Mitchell and Paul (depending on games missed) aren't clear of the scrap either.

I do have Curry as my clear #1 right now, with Booker/Jrue a clear 2/3.

Curry on 1st team feels like the only real lock at this point.

I'd probably order the next four as Ja, Luka, CP3, Booker myself but the margins are so thin I could be convinced on any order.

If PHI pulls out #1 in the East I think Harden gets the last spot, otherwise it will come down to Trae/Mitchell. Will be interesting to see if individual or team success wins out with the voters.

Also know he has no shot of making it but gotta give Jrue another mention because he's probably had a similar impact on winning games as any of those last three guys, even if he's done it in a slightly different way.
