If you’re a consensus 1st overall draft pick AND on a #1 seed team and go out like Gonzaga I would never pick you #1. Huge red flag that shows you’re just not that guy.

He wasn't awful at the beginning of the season. He's just gotten considerably worse through the season. He's a poor defender and his shot is inconsistent. Teams have relegated him to a jump shooter. At the beginning of the season he was more active around the rim where he shines with his great touch.

With that said, him and Kerr have been downright bad the past month or so. Kerr has an injured ankle but the dude just keeps chucking up 3's like it's 1995. I love the dude b/c he's the heart & soul of our team but he killed us yesterday.

All in all, I'm not super disappointed with the way our season went. It sucks to lose 'early' but we never were supposed to be here in the first place and it doesn't erase a terrific regular season.

Heck, they were not even ranked going into the season or picked to finish near the top of the PAC 12. I don't think any player prior to the season was on a draft radar. There were probably about 4 polls where they continued to be unranked.

I can't believe how good the coach must be.

Anyway, I think they are in good hands going forward, though they will lose some great players. What I don't really understand is why their recruiting class is so awful. I was looking at it the other day and they don't even have like a top 25 recruiting class. Like barely anyone. But I think their coach is good at finding diamonds in the rough and I think some players would love to transfer...ones maybe on stacked teams where they could get more playing time on AZ. Also, the coach seems to be good at finding international players.

They may have had a disappointing tourney run, but they probably also had the toughest sweet 16 matchup, and I could see Houston winning it all honestly.

Paolo has been just flat out fantastic so far in the tourney. When he limits the hero ball and just plays with the flow of the offense, he is such a joy to watch.

don't underestimate Arkansas, they thrive off of being given no chance!

They should be tough next year too. They have the #2 recruiting class https://247sports.com/Season/2022-Basketball/CompositeTeamRankings/

I am so happy for those kids from St. Peter’s. I mean people underrate free throw shooting in games, and because they have guards who can nail them, it made this upset a reality. Happy for the coach, he is all levels of cool.

The March madness tournament has a special element when you can see moments like these.

UNC/Duke in the Final 4 would be an epic matchup.

Eh Gonzaga doesn't really have strength of schedule in their conference. That hurts them when the tournament comes every year.

Houston is shooting a sparkling 7.2% from deep. That has to change over this last few mins right?
