Ouch. This is potentially a season + long injury. James Wiseman tore his a year ago and still hasnt returned. Huge blow for the Celtics this season and next.

Damn, sorry Celtics fans. Hopefully he'll do well with his recovery and be ready for next season.

Wow...that's a huge loss.

Cs really, really needed him to be able to handle guys like Giannis & Embiid. This has to be insanely disappointing for the fans & franchise.

[WOJ] Robert Williams has suffered a meniscus tear in his left knee and will miss minimally several weeks...

Unfortunately it seems to be par for the course. :banghead:

That's really really really really unfortunate for them. Makes them significantly worse.

Dam Celtics got ****. I think this is a huge blow for their elite defense.

Milwaukee about to walk through the East now. Sad but true.

i wonder if this will be one of those scenarios where he has to pick between a remove and return (and whatever long term consequences stem from that) or a repair and out for 6-12 months
thatd be a tough decision

Ouch, Celtics potential instantly dropped from finals contender to first round exit (although there was always that potential due to how proficient and talented Kd/Kyrie are alone). However, dude anchored the Celtics stifling defense but now they'll have to rely on Theis who I remember got torched by Bam couple years back. Durant/Kyrie gonna have a field day in the paint. Not even to talk about Giannis (if they find a way to advance).

I'd say 100% think long-term.

This doesn’t ruin the Celtics hopes. They still have Horford and Grant Williams can step up.

Yep, the basketball gods probably saw that the Celtics and their fans were having too good a time and thought they'd better kick us in the nuts again. As usual.

This absolutely sucks. Rob roaming as a free safety unlocked our defense, and he's also a devastating lob threat. That's all gone now, and that lowers the Celtics' ceiling.

I hope the Time Lord recovers quickly and completely.

He's still young and has a lot of basketball (and everything else for that matter) ahead of him. So yeah 100% do what's best for the long-term.

That is very unfortunate news for Robert Williams and the Celtics. He’s been playing some great basketball as a very mobile rim protector and defender and fairly healthy this year up to this point. Wish him a speedy recovery.
