You can remove the meniscus which gets him back quicker.

Or you can repair it which takes longer.

They'll repair it to protect his long term health.

I think usually like a month if it's not too bad. Really just awful timing to happen so close to the playoffs. This will have him sidelined for a while but they don't usually linger so if it happened in the middle of the season he would have been fine. :banghead:

They better not remove it. Rob's way too young to do that.

He will probably recover quickly from this. The procedure is not too invasive. Depending on what you're doing, you can do it with a scope.

Well even if he never plays another game this year, he still would have played exactly the same amount of games he got in his first 2 seasons.

We know injury concerns is one of the reasons he fell to the late first.

Just kind of sucks that IF this was going to happen it would have been better to happen half way through the season when we were in 11th place and we could have tanked our way to a decent pick in this year's draft.

Now we're just locked in (I mean we were as soon as we traded the pick) and flying half mast.

We were beating the odds all year on Rob Williams being a full time player, can't be upset about it.

Yeah, best case he is out likely until the 2nd round, more likely ECF.

Yeah, I guessed two months when I saw the injury and thought 'meniscus' but 6 weeks seems possible.

Meniscus is 6-8 weeks. Shiism repair it, not remove it. That takes us to second. Round, ecf.

Oh well, there goes our championship hopes. Rob is truly made of glass! Dude can’t play an entire season. We have tons of back up wings, but significantly thin in the middle. Damn what timing!
