Keeping out all your top players is serious 4D chess as the Raptors can't beat bad teams... only good teams. (tips hat)
Raptors wouldn't stand a chance against a healthy Celtics even on back to back

He played in Toronto in late November, so yeah.

But he’s out tonight, as is Tatum, and Horford, and Rob.

He’s vaxxed, whole team is. Schroder wasn’t, as far as I know.

Raptors definitely play up and down to their opponent. Beat some very good teams over the last month but they also lost to the Magic and the Pistons. If anything, this works in the Celtics advantage lol.

So who WILL start & play?

Theis
Grant
Smart

+ 2 of White/Pritchard/Nesmith would seem to be the starters.

Hauser & Kornet are the most obvious guys off the bench. Probably Stauskas too.

I'm not that clear about who else is even on the roster, let alone why they might play.

(Yeah, I know -- Fitts, Morgan. But I know little about them other than Fitts' enthusiastic celebrations.)

So anyway -- who has career scoring highs tonight? Pritchard and Hauser?

Brown and Tatum are both dealing with knee pain. They are not just being rested for the sake of it. Brown said he could barely jump to get that off the backboard alley oop by Smart last night.

Don't the Pistons (and Casey) always beat the Raptors though?

After such a **** high going 24-4 & 30-9, & finally grabbing the first seed - what a mother **** let down.
And we are basically conceding tonight’s game w/o 4 of our starters AND the one seed - unless the Kings somehow beat the slumping Heat tonight.
And much much worse, our hopes to get to the ECF just took a huge huge dive as well.

GODDAMIT!

Lol yes, no one really knows why that is. The Raptors have lost 6 in a row against the Pistons and are now 9-3 ever since Casey was fired.

Some of that may be a combination of Nurse trying too hard and game planning differently against his rival and maybe Casey going all out like it's a game 7 of an NBA finals game in order to exact revenge on the team that fired him. Legend has it that he pays bonuses to his players if they win against the Raptors.
