Yup, you just saw how I wrote Harden's weak layup reminded me of MJ's steal and game-winner in 1998? That kind of moment that just seems too perfect for real life? That kind of moment that makes Leo DiCaprio gush, "That was poetry!" in the locker room after the game? That block was another one of those moments. MJ, Harden, Embiid, and Gianni: all the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.
All human life on the earth is like grass, and all human glory is like a flower in a field. The grass dries up and its flower falls off, but the Lord’s word endures forever.

Maxey is better without harden he just stands and watches him dribble the air out the ball.

That’s not how it works. Embiid has superstar James Harden now. Giannis overcame both of them. Giannis was easily the best player on the court. That block is what people will remember. Voters will remember

Tell the truth - watching the game tonight, did you find Embiid's support cast impressive? Harden aside (but even Harden).

Philly's roster is low-key awful. 3 good players and the rest specialists at best.

Well Harden was arguably their best player for one. And Harris had a highly efficient 22/11/6 + 3 stls and 0 turnovers. Maxey didn't have it tonight, but he's normally extremely tough. This was not some Embiid carry job. Both teams have plenty of talent (the Bucks more so). But Giannis was obviously the best player on the floor.

philly needs roster help but they really need to move on from doc. he's going to go up against nurse, spoelstra, bud, donovan in the playoffs. he will be outcoached in all those series. he'll have a shot against bickerstaff and nash.

I was surprised how bad they were. I haven't watched any of Phillys games since Harden arrived. Tobes is okay, Maxey is great but he doesn't really have a roll with Harden dribbling the air out of the ball. I didn't even know Milsap was still in the league and he got cooked when they pulled Embiid to rest.

There's nothing wrong with Embiid. He plays with a perennial choke artist and is coached by the chokingest coach in NBA history.

Thats the 2nd time(Nuggets)I’ve seen Rivers just let a big run happen and literally do nothing to stop the other team’s momentum.
Doc lost the game starting 4th quarter 11 points ahead vs Bucks starters, letting Giannis feast on the mighty Millsap, plus Milton,Niang, Green. Benching Embiid, Harden. Why didn't he match Embiid with Giannis? Giannis had 15-6 run closing 3rd quarter when Embiid rested. Why give away the lead when your starters outplayed Bucks starters. Letting Giannis, Jru get hot vs no Philly center in 4th.

After all that hype, Embiid might get third in MVP voting.

If SIxers lose in the playoffs again, Doc has to be gone. Too much at stake with Harden in his twilight years to be experimenting with the biggest choking coach of all time.

As far as tonight I would say Tobias had a very good game. I know he hasn’t been good since Harden has come though.

It's a terrible roster - Harris can score but he doesn't defend. Niang can shoot the 3 and nothing else. Thybulle is a great help defender but one of the worst offensive players in the league. Danny Green is terrible on both ends, he's just living off his rep at this point. And then they have to choose between the corpse of Millsap or the corpse of Jordan as their backup C. I won't even get into how bad Doc is tactically.

I don't think they'll get out of the first round unless they get Chicago or Cleveland.

would they still be paying brett next year too? will the owner pay both brett + doc to not coach?

Drummond and Curry were really underrated loses for them. Replaced by Millsap/Jordan, and more minutes for Niang...

Money has been no object for the owner before. Let's remember Doc was part of the cause for Ben wanting out. If he alienates Harden and Embiid in the playoffs (which he always does, he always blames his players and never takes the blame himself), he's a goner.

Well at least the Sixers won't ever have to play a backup center in the playoffs.

Somewhere Greg Monroe just had to sneeze.
