The key possession was the one down one with 29 seconds left, where Embiid is essentially playing “wing” and throws up a fadeaway jumper. If those are the kinds of shots you’re getting in the clutch against the best teams in the league, you don’t stand a chance of winning a championship.
On the subsequent possession you have Harden missing a three, and so both of the team’s best players blew it in the clutch.
At some point this team is going to need a reliable scoring option at those times in games. That’s the difference between this team and the best teams in the league at present.
That was supposed to be Harden, but he is washed up plus he has always had a tendency to choke.
