If so, how did they not see that? I was of the understanding it was mental illness. (And even that was in question.)
What a sucker move Philly pulled if he was broken all along.
He didn't arrive here with a back injury, he injured his back here while preparing his return...
Really?

Simmons, who had an epidural injection to relieve soreness in his back, has dealt with back issues dating back to February 2020 when he missed time due to a nerve impingement, according to Charania.

I guess reading comprehension not a strong suit here. I never said he hasn't had back injuries in the past, I'm saying his back wasn't injured at time of trade. He herniated a disk in the back during his ramp up for the Nets.

Sure...Sure he did.

Simmons, who told the Nets that he had back issues shortly after his workouts began, received an epidural shot Tuesday intended to relieve pain and, the team hoped, accelerate the healing process. It typically takes a few days for its impact to take effect. Three days later, is Simmons feeling better?

Has Simmons had an MRI exam?

“I believe he has, but I think that’s old news,” Nash said of a previously unreported development. “That was a couple weeks ago.”

Did the exam come back clean?

What does ‘clean’ mean?” Nash asked. “I think he’s got a back … something with his back.”

So the coach "believes" he has? Not sure? Dohkay.

According to Nash, Simmons had done individual workouts then encountered the “flare-up.”

So he hurt his back working out ALONE? Shouldn't he have been working out the whole time he had "mental issues?"
Face it...He's broken. But they did get a couple of first and Curry out of the deal considering Harden bitched his way out of another team. So they got that going for them.
