Mavs now 1.5 and Utah is 2.5 games away from overtaking the Warriors for 3rd seed.

Tomorrow Cleveland will be without Allen and Mobley, i think that if we win there we will finish 3th for sure.

It's really golden opportunity for Mavs. Their strength of schedule is 29th and they're in much better form than GSW and Jazz.

MPJ suffered a setback with his lower back injury. Really hoping we face DEN in round 1. Best matchup for us I think.

Let Joker get 40 & 20 & 8 every game. The rest of the DEN roster won't be enough to overcome the Mavs. Especially with DAL having homecourt!

So the Mavs only has Giannis blocking the way. I am fine with either scenario and actually prefer a higher draft pick. 3rd spot or 6 spot is no difference at all. Unfortunately, GSW is without Curry; Utah is without Gobert. And Cavs shutdown both rookies frontcourt. It is difficult to look for higher draft pick.

I'm starting to be afraid of this Covid protocols. Second Mavs player in it, I hope that Covid doesn't **** up with Mavs again.

I think the Mavs is still do or die on jumpers. When the 3s are on, the Mavs could beat every eam. When it isn't, the Mavs could lose a blow out every game.

Burke missed his testing window, he didn't test positive.

That sounds better. Still don't understand how is that even possible. Brown was positive?

Yes, but Burke is unvaccinated, they have different testing regiment than vaccinated players I think.

Can Powell / Bullock defend Jokic / Gordon? I think it is not really a good matchup for the Mavs. If Denver shoots light out, then it's favoring Denver obviously. It takes way more leg power and energy defending someone who's way bigger and more athletic. I don't think it is all that good taking the 3 spot.

It's very good taking 3rd spot, because you don't have Suns in round 2. Like teams are playing at the moment, nobody knows who will be 3-6th in the West. Mavs should take care of the business and finish 3rd and see who they get in round 1.

Matt Barnes is pretty spot on when he said this current Mavs ceiling is a 2nd round exit. Which I think is fair considering where the Mavs are in the rebuild timeline. A 2nd round exit is acceptable given the team is in no way a finished product. Just get some experience and upset some teams along the way.
