Re: OT: Russia-Ukraine War
Yesterday, Donald Trump called upon Vladimir Putin to dig up dirt on Joe Biden's family.
During a war.
During a war.

I've been saying for a while now that I think Trump is probably done as far as being a Presidential candidate. We're just beginning to see some Republicans moving away from him, it's very subtle and pretty underwhelming I know but it's just the beginning. I'm thinking they don't want to alienate the truly right wing cooks, the Q people before the midterms, which is unfortunately quite a large segment of the Republican party at this point. Once the elections are done we may see a more concerted effort to move away from Trump, he's becoming more and more untenable as a politician. The Republicans have other candidates who while playing the Trump card to please the base are far more electable at this point and are more acceptable to the people who really matter: the Billionaire donors who are bankrolling the party.

I fear it may be too late. The Trumpanzees have all gone full Q. The proof? The Senate Judiciary hearing for Judge Jackson. All those questions about children safety was all Q driven.
You just know Miss Lindsay was one of the orgy seekers trying to get jiggly with Cawthorn.

Ukraine will not be like Korea; dogged resistance will turn it into Putin’s ‘bleeding ulcer’ • The Conversation

Nato has applied the lessons of Iraq to develop new thinking on setting up effective resistance forces against Russian forces. For some time Ukrainian, US and other intelligence agencies will have been identifying and supplying the territorial defence leaders behind Russian lines, and they have been effective in disrupting Russian supply lines and logistics.
Should Ukraine be split as Putin plans, this will not be a frozen conflict, as Korea is. Nor will it resemble Abkhazia or Chechnya, uneasy though they both remain, under the control of a Russian puppet Ramzan Kadyrov in Chechnya and military occupation in the breakaway Georgian region. Even Afghanistan in the 1980s will pale in comparison.
From 1807 to 1814 on the Iberian peninsula, Napoleon had to fight Spanish, Portuguese and British armies while beset by ubiquitous, ferocious insurgents. He described this war as his “bleeding ulcer”, draining him of men and equipment. It is the west’s aim to make Ukraine for Putin what Spain was for Napoleon.
In the absence of a negotiated settlement, Ukraine and Nato will continue to grind away at Russia’s army, digging away at that bleeding ulcer and prolonging Russia’s agony on the military front, as the west continues its parallel assault on its economy. If Putin’s plan is to proceed with the Korea model, he will fail.
«
The key question is what happens in the Donbas and Crimea. Would those really be regained by Ukraine?

Trump's ability to focus on nothing but himself 24/7/365 is on another level. Pretty amazing to behold.

What I see is that Trump sees himself as a Putin in singularity. While he is as close to an “oligarch” as there is in West terms, Don has higher aspirations.
Case in point. Our current legal system has been impotent in bringing any charges against him. Even the preview of a Government insurrection has been made light of in the media. 1st phase completed.
If we think that it’ll never be possible, look how the use of COVID was used to remove rights in Australia. Plenty of examples of government change all over history of Man.
The Senate passed a law during Trump’s first term that he and Putin could not consummate any deals. Trump doesn’t like to lose, what he did with this tweet was calculated. He just gave Putin an out, if he wants.
And if there is dirt, it’ll get interesting.
Personally, what I saw on Jan 6th, just made me realize that anything is possible under Trump. As an observer I’d rather see DeSantis win the Republicans vote. Cause Don doesn’t want to be President he want to be a Xi or Putin.

The DOJ just revealed it is adding 131 attorneys to handle their upcoming Jan. 6 prosecutions

Best thing that could happen is Trump runs again. He won’t get that far, but it would be an absolute gift to Biden and the Democrats

I keep saying to myself that there's no way that he won't be in jail by then. I've been wrong so far. I hope we got some tricks up our sleeves. These midterms are usually pretty brutal.

I heard talk about Russia trying to sell oil in their own currency. I'm hearing China is down with Russia. Talk of the Petro dollar being attacked basically. Then Trump asking Putin for help digging up dirt on Biden? I have been avoiding all of this stuff for a while. Sounds like some crazy **** going on right now. WTF is up?

I think Putin has other things on his mind right now lik3 bombing the hell out of Ukraine to be bothered with Donald Trump’s requests/demands. It goes to show how delusional Trump really is.

I always thought it would be the Al Capone investigations that got him, but now I believe his actions to overthrow the election will nail him for at least some highly convictable counts. Georgia is really going after Meadows and Trump. And the Jan. 6 committee has been doing a great job and will soon be in the daily news with public hearings that are going to stir the pot. And the DOJ just weaponized their prosecution efforts.
Trump will be convicted of something serious before 2024

Trump is his own storyline and completely incidental to geopolitical oil considerations. If anyone is talking about Hunter Biden right now they are a nut job. Trump’s main relevance to the Ukraine story is the spotlight is shining on him and the GOP for their loyalties to Putin, but he has no role to play presently. A case could be made that without Trump the invasion would not have happened. His four years in office are a sordid tale of extorting Ukraine, getting impeached for it, performing his duties as a Russian asset and actively working to destabilize NATO.
Russia wants Germany to pay in rubles, because their ability to conduct business in dollars has been crippled. China is wary of Russia now so that’s an ongoing saga. Putin lied to Xi and China has engaged with Biden over Ukraine. They declined Putin’s request for military assistance.

I appreciate the info. A CBS article I stumbled across yesterday made it seem like Russia and China were azzhole buddies now.
As for Trump....yeah....he just proved he was in bed with Putin with his request. Who does that? What an incredible doosh bag. He paved the way for this to happen...and his fan boys act like it didn't happen while he was in office because he was "tough on Russia". BS!!
I have just been avoiding the media at all costs. Going through my own shyt and I just can't right now with the turmoil and nonsense. Again...thanks for the heads up.

When your life takes over I think that is a good decision to let the news pass you by for a while.
How to interpret the mainstream media is a whole other conversation. For future reference, these would be my tips. Don’t listen to anyone who says all media is lies. This is a tactic done to destabilize any truth and it not accurate.
What I do think is true is many platforms do go for clicks so they tend to skew certain angles that will generate buzz. Trump running for office in 2024 is a good example. He is partially senile already and about to be tried and convicted for numerous crimes so the odds of that happening are very low. But centrist media sources love to push it because anti-Trump people fear more years of Trump so they click the story. So that’s an example of BS without actually lying.
If you want alternate news sources in the future, the UK has some good news outlets like The Guardian. Al Jazeera can be very good too at times.

Dig up dirt is a nice way of saying manufacture lies to deceive the American public. If there was legitimate dirt about Joe Biden, it would have already been unleashed during the last election. Seems like the media is still going easy on Republicans and not tying their behavior to the bigger global picture.

Trump is just running his mouth, what needs to be dug up? Burisma is mostly all public and nobody cares about the nepotism and corruption. It was all known before the election, the lefty media didn't talk about it, fox led with it. Nobody is denying any of it. It's on both rotten, corrupt, money burning sides of the aisle and nobody cared. Digging up things about Hunter Bidens personal life? Again, being a crack smoking, thrown out of the navy piece of whore mongering, fathering children out of wedlock crap isn't enough? Like ... what else can they dig up that matters? The most egregious Biden stuff is all un disputed public record.
Biden co-authored the 5 year crack law, and co-sponsored the CCCA and those two bills have been responsible for more unjust incarceration, broken families and utterly corrupt law enforcement than the orange clown could hope to accomplish in 20 years. This is all and was all easy to access public information when the dems nominated this corpse.
We elected a nepotistic, corrupt, awful human being in the last two elections.
1/2 the country voted for each side in the last two elections.
Dirt doesn't matter anymore, the media will just spin it and the people who hate either side will just ignore it.
Maybe it swings some independent / libertarians but for the most part it's a rounding error.
