I'll take the win, but defense today is embarrassing.
Nash is just a moron. Same problem every game. Too many wide open 3s. What has he ever done to fix this issue?
That combined with his insistence on playing Johnson who basically does nothing.
Why Griffin is in a permanent dog house I will never understand. His defense and effort is just way better than the other guys on our bench.
We better play better vs the Bucks. This defensive effort will not fly.

Hope Nash is a much better playoff coach, and I guess last season would indicate that, unless KD was the only reason for success

I just caught this game and wow I gotta say Isaiah Stewart is absolutely out of control out there. Acting like a crazy dude throwing his weight around, and worst of all pushing people in the air and undercutting jumpshooters at will. He is going to hurt someone really bad one day, and he could have easily ended our season today on multiple occasions. We got extremely lucky we walked out of that game injury free.
Considering he also bumrushed Lebron earlier in the season, he's clearly not all there. He's way more unhinged than Artest for me on the crazy scale.

I watch the games when I wake up and these people are ruining my days.
Why did Drummond finish the game instead of Claxton when Cade was attacking him over and over again? Our defense in general is just awful. Ben Simmons alone can't fix this.

Its impossible to screw-up our offense, because KD and KI make it work no matter who is coach. So we have the luxury of hiring an absolute defensive specialist coach, but instead we have Nash

Simmons is the missing piece here; Curry and Kai are undersized wings who have trouble guarding taller guys. Simmons as a defensive anchor fixes this problem; Cade doesn’t go off for 37 with Simmons out there. We need Simmons back asap to make a deep run.

Please watch the KD interview after the game; he stood there with poise and said all they need is health. The defense will lock in come playoff time.

Same thing with Memphis.
Nash needs to understand that you cannot give up open threes and expect your defense to function
Force contested long twos and rim attempts. You have a big massive tank in the paint you think i care if someone makes a lay up after getting waylaid by Drummond?
Ppl get upset but Nash's ignorance of X's and O's is going to cost us heavily next month

Of course it will, everyone plays better defense in the playoffs, but I'd still prefer a defense-first coach over Nash.
And Nash doesn't help the offense either (not that it matters), so I think he's only there for his friendly speaking voice....

Saw a tweet that said it took KD and KY to play 40 mins each to beat the Pistons....
This is not sustainable....
The lack of offensive system for anyone to play and excel at has once again showed why we can't succeed without the stars putting up star stats..

Exactly.
Nash is worst than Thibodeau with how he runs KD and Kyrie into the ground.
We need an actual coach in here who knows strategy, not a glorified babysitter. I can't believe a hall of fame talent like Nash is this clueless.

This is what I don't understand about Marks. Guy is smart enough to evaluate talent and understand systemic structure. How in the f*** he went for this no system coach approach?
I mean Kyrie is different type of moron. KD is just follower, but this guy been under Pops for so long and yet be this dumb?
Sorry just comprehend that.

Last year we couldn't even evaluate Nash since he was under D'Antoni. This year... God damn this dumb f*** don't even hide his stupidity. I mean listen to what he says. Get this clown out here.

Kerr was a failure as a GM, Zen was a failure as a GM, Pop's was mediocre at best. Three of them will go as top coaches to ever do it. Maybe, just maybe we should experiment here? Than again, he's one of the best GM's out there. Most likely will fail as a coach.

Also, y'all get carried away with Dre. Dude's bball IQ is at minimal level. Reason why he's a vet min at age 28.
Dragic on a low is a reason we've been winning games. Yes he had some bad plays here and there but, he's the reason this team weather things smoothly. He's a must keeper. If he decides to bounce, need Rondo or Rudio as replacement. Rondo will be huge step back though.

Simmons obviously makes a huge difference... like KD/Kyrie on offense just having simmons out there is huge. But our biggest issues defensively are not personnel, but system and execution.
Simmons isn't going to magically make james johnson stop helping off the elite shooter in the corner. Simmons isn't going to make LMA be able to guard curry on a switch. Simmons isnt going to be able to make guys magically miss when we massively overhelp. Simmons isnt going to be able to address us ignoring the opponents weaknesses or playing stupid lineups that dont work together.
Like for instance we are better when bruce brown is on the floor, but we still give up tons of easy points because he cant do it at all 5 spots at once and overcome nash incompetance.

its one thing if you help on Lebron or Embiid at the rim... we have James Johnson leaving a shooter in the corner sprinting to the paint to help on a duncan robinson drive to the lane where he already picked up his dribble. Like bro, let duncan take the fallaway 8 footer vs curry or whomever. live with the 2 points if it goes in.
the other big thing... we you have a 15 point 2nd half lead, DONT LET THEM SHOOT THREES. Teams are not erasing a 15 point lead vs KD/Kyrie without threes and forcing turnovers

I said this all last year, even during that 18-2 stretch. It shouldnt take huge games from Harden+Kyrie (or now KD + Kyrie) to beat an injured pacers team at home, or last night a pistons team missing grant.
yeah its still a W but for those paying attention, the coaching just BLEEDS points for us.
