Not sure how Tony Brothers can still be a ref.

This is Silvers fault. He is without question the most ineffectual commissioner the NBA has had.

Brothers should be suspended over this, and he certainly shouldn't be involved in playoffs games. Absolutely terrible ref.

I've said it before, the league should clean house, bypass the union, and hire scabs.

Why the other refs didn't review it?

Wtf? lol.

And the pathetic announcers try to justify it.

What in the world...he waited 5 seconds to call it!

I can understand if he made a knee-jerk bad call but he actually waited to call it and then reviewed it and wouldn't admit there was no foul.

Smh.

Top 3 worst ejection of all time. Up there with Tim Duncan laughing on the bench and Vince joking around with Mo Peterson.

I actually don’t have a problem with that. I assume there was a double tech from the initial exchange in the corner, and then Rivers comes straight back down and fakes an elbow at Stephenson for guarding him close? Yeah you can’t do that.

The only thing wrong with Brothers there is that he has the reaction time of a refrigerated jar of honey.

I mean this jibes w the NBA policy of not allowing defense during the regular season.
They don't want anything messy. Just play the game with no drama, i.e. competitiveness, and everyone goes home.

Green font?

Did you watch the clip?

Rivers' gave such a mild fake it was hardly even a fake. You're not allowed to do a fake if you've just been called for a tech?

Watch the clip...he did nothing out of the ordinary. Stephenson baited the stupid ref into calling a tech or something. Because there was no logical reason to.

It is crazy when you think about how soft the league is now compared to pretty much every other sport. Hockey and Football have non stop physical contact but you get ejected for throwing what i guess you can try really hard to call a fake elbow throw in the NBA.

What? He had the ball. Faked a swing through or a pass. No connection. Absolutely nothing wrong with what Rivers did.

There’s no way he’d swing through that space with Stephenson there like that, Rivers pumped the elbow and knew what he was doing.

You're perfectly allowed to do that, period. There's nothing in the rules that says you can't do a fake.

If you've ever watched Rivers, he always does fakes like this when he has the ball. He's supposed to stop doing that because he has a tech?

Rivers was completely indifferent to the whistle because he did nothing wrong. He was shocked to find out it was called on him, well after the fact. You're the only one that can't see this was a ridiculous call...

You're like the one person in the room defending Will Smith right now. No offense. :D

Please re-watch the tape. That was the most mild fake ever.
