Got to say Detroit has some nice pieces to build on, Cunningham was impressive tonight

My thing is, after a loss to the hornets, how do you not come out gangbusters in this one?

Despite only limited burn for JJ and only a smattering of minutes for Edwards, it looks like for better or worse this is already our playoffs rotation... unless Kess finally gets dropped.

God forbid that an injury or two in the playoffs (if we make it) forces Nash to use some unwanted end-of-bench guy(s) who couldn't even scrape token minutes in our last few RS games to maintain rhythm & stay connected.

Kessler Edwards has to be signed on 15 man roster contract, 2 ways like him aren't allowed to participate in playoffs.

If signing him, they have to cut someone on the active 15

Cutting LMA should be a foregone conclusion. You dont need 5 centers on a playoff roster. Its him or Blake.

-Drummond/Claxton are locks
-You dont cut a rookie in Sharpe
-LMA/Blake are redundant as 3rd centers. choose one. id go with the healthier more versatile blake

The reluctance or ignorance of not playing Blake is mind baffling... even for spurts...

Blake is sn upgrade over a Jared dudley to change the momentum of the game.

Lma.... I both don't see a role yet can agree or be convinced his mid range gm as a big is huge.

Just when or how you play him? He's s huge liability on defense the way they play him

JJ to me would be the candidate to cut... Claxton can do what JJ does without the ball handling

Simmons obviously makes a huge difference... like KD/Kyrie on offense just having simmons out there is huge. But our biggest issues defensively are not personnel, but system and execution.

Simmons isn't going to magically make james johnson stop helping off the elite shooter in the corner. Simmons isn't going to make LMA be able to guard curry on a switch. Simmons isnt going to be able to make guys magically miss when we massively overhelp. Simmons isnt going to be able to address us ignoring the opponents weaknesses or playing stupid lineups that dont work together.

Like for instance we are better when bruce brown is on the floor, but we still give up tons of easy points because he cant do it at all 5 spots at once and overcome nash incompetance.

Of course he will, because Simmons should magically push Johnson & Aldridge completely out of the lineup (Johnson especially).
