actually this is the perfect player to target.

I wonder what DeAnthony Meltons advanced stats look like. He could be a decent backup plan if Tyus re-signs.
I’d give Lonnie Walker a look but the Celtics trade might be a signal that they’re developing him.

If for some reason Fred is gone in the offseason I'd definitely tie up Tyus Jones with the MLE. He's got an elite assist-to-turnover ratio interestingly enough and looks like a starting level player for sure. 10m/year wouldn't be overpaying.

Not sure how much I like him on the team with Fred here though, that's another undersized guard, goes against Masai's vision too much. We'll see.

Honestly, comparing both Fred and Pascal to who they were 2 years ago makes me not want to trade any of our core. I 100% did not see Pascal being a real All NBA guy in the future considering how good the league is now.

Who is to say OG doesn't get waaay better offensively in the next 3 years? Or Gary becomes more consistent with his scoring and becomes a better passer? I been on the side of packaging both for a star but Pascal's growth makes me feel its way to preemptive

Might be the Nostalgia talking but would a reunion with Delon Wright make sense? His advanced stats have always looked really nice. Good size, doesn't address our shooting issues tho but I'd trust him as a back up PG over Flynn tbh unless we draft a guard this year in the draft.

If we still had our first, then Melton + 29 for 16 and Memphis just resigning Jones would maybe have made sense.

Giving Lonnie Walker the MLE seems crazy, but there might not be a more promising young shooter out there and if it's a short deal he gets some money and we get a young guy we can always move at the deadline. Spurs probably match a 1+1 (team option) 21M over 2 offer though.

so with the cap rising to 122 million and 149 million tax line this summer the raptors will have some money to spend.
They have to upgrade the bench with some shooting right? Will they give Fred an extension?

Both og and Trent:

If they improve their handle by a decent amount, they will basically immediately become elite talent. Big ask, but hey!

Great player but who plays the point for Toronto? I don't trust Flynn or Banton or Brooks full time. Unless Toronto is moving Barnes to the defacto PG. Depending on yes picks as well this could be very risky. IMHO I think The Knicks throw out RJ Barrett plus their pick plus other stuff

Siakam and Barnes have playmaking and ball handling skills along with Mitchell. The PG designation is just semantics.

Has he grown 6'8 with 7'2 Wingspan or something?

Trade FVV, GTJ, and picks for Mitchell.

Sign Bamba in the offseason. Championship time.

>Gary Trent Jr goes off in the playoffs and becomes the most highly rated young shooting guard in the league (for a couple of rounds)
>Masai & Bobby decide not to budge on the philosophy and on the core FVV, OG, Siakam, Barnes (and Precious)
>They decide to go back to the Pacers about Myles Turner again
>The Pacers see an opportunity to create a young dynamic backcourt in Haliburton&GTJr

But to get the now most highly rated young SG: Our FO says "Turner + Duarte + a pick!!!"

I'm sorry, is there a world where Mitchell is equivalent in value to a younger Paul George? Or Kawhi?

And do the Raptors have that much depth that we can start making talent consolidation trades like this? We're trading an all-star/team leader/great defender and promising young SG who is proving to be a decent defender - PLUS PICKS! - for an oft-injured, whiny, one-way player who's never lead his over-rated team to anything.

Pro tip - never give max contracts to players who don't help your defence.

Wiggins has one more year on his contract and can guard 1-4. Is there room for him here to come off the bench as an expiring? One would imagine he would sign here for cheap afterwards.

I understand theres a cap and it most likely wouldnt work, but just asking.

sounds great but my prediction is that SGA gets traded to Toronto this summer.

Toronto receives: SGA & NAW
Utah receives: Vanvleet & Trent + TOR 2024 FRP
OKC receives: Mitchell

SGA - Banton
OG - NAW
Barnes - Young
Siakam - Boucher
Precious - Birch

Must be 6'6 or taller to play for Toronto.
